You'll have fun regardless....we are watching the game at home....we sent an invite for a chili party to those who want to watch but are not serious sports fans....If you have seen our TV set you will understand that it will not be the "full game experience"....

Hey - we're going to a "chili" superbowl party, too. Not in FL though. Hope they open all the windows. It could get ugly in there around 1/2 time.

Good morning all. Just a dusting of snow last night. I'm waiting for the "big one" to happen. Our first snow in NY was on Jan. 18th. Very, very late. Not good for the summer.

Anyway, since we were talking about pets, we're thinking (actually getting one, just not yet) about getting a cocker spaniel. Does anyone know a good breeder? I've been looking on the internet. There's one in Brooklyn, but just curious. Maybe someone has a relative or someone you know who breeds them.

Thanks guys.

My parents (who are staying with us for the winter) have really taken to mostly watching tv in their room at our house... they said they don't like watching tv in our family room because the screen is TOO BIG???!!!!! Huh? They'd rather watch a 13" than a 61"... I don't get it... I thought that when your eyes got old (which mine already are) you needed print, screens and various other things to be BIGGER to be seen???

WHAT?

It brought back childhood memories.....rotating the antenna.

Once they figured out that it helped the reception, my brothers used to pay me to stand and hold the bunny ears.........
I can only hope that I've gotten smarter since those days.

Some days that sounds like a much better job offer than our current occupations!!!!! Today is one of those days!

Moose is not coming to our house. After sleeping on it, we (as a whole family) have come to the conclusion that we like Mowana just like he is and we don't want to risk his personality changing by bringing in another cat. We were caught up in the cuteness and playfulness of this kitten, but when we really stopped to think about it, it just isn't a good idea for us and for Mo. Too many stories about the older cat getting weird and having issues (mainly litterbox) and I just don't need that....none of us do.

Little Nick, who has the most tender heart for animals, even is saying he doesn't want the cat. He wants Moose to go to a good home, but he doesn't want Mowana to change. I expected tears and resistance from him when we talked about it, but he was completely serious in his decision about not brining the cat home. I've called the shelter and took him off of hold. :(

We've been a one cat family since we got Elvis, 7 years ago. Alicia, who adores kittens, has always agreed when I have said "Elvis would hate it if we got another cat". He's just a people cat, doesn't like other animals AT ALL. He loves each of us in his own special way, with all his little kitty heart.

So, yes, I completely understand your choice there. I've sometimes wondered how he would do with a small dog in the house, but all I've done is wondered.

Hey guys quick question please...
The blue man group is coming to Columbus in March.....Is it worth the $50 pp to see/hear them? Does one need "good" seats for the blue man group or just being to hear them is good enough?

Alicia and I saw them in Vegas a couple of years ago. I am not a fan, but I enjoyed the show. It was entertaining. Alicia loved it, she's a fan. You would probably like it, as Kiki said.

Morning All --- no Dining Plan for us.....We have had the Disney Dining Experience card for years, which lets us have 20% off all table service and food courts in hotels where there is no sit down resturant. Although the price has increased over the years, we still find it works well.....You used to need to be a Florida resident to purchase it...I think that has relaxed but you may need to be a passholder to qualify. I have no clue if the cost would work for a visit, just what you need, more options and numbers to crunch - right?

We had the DDE for a little over a year, really liked it. We purchased it when we had annual passes, and were planning several trips to WDW that year. You get 20% off adult beverages, too, so it's doubly handy! It was the instigation for our trip to Victoria and Alberts with Sharon and Jim. Quite the memorable evening!

who posted they thought you could use DVC points for Dining????

thanks...

No, can't do that. You can pay for the Dining Plan when you are staying at DVC on points, maybe that's what you read.

Kiki, maybe your folks just need some alone time. Although I've heard a very few people say that sitting close to a large screen makes them "dizzy".

I tend to think dogs and cats need to be raised together. Ash loves cats, because he was brought into a home that had two of them....but the cats did NOT appreciate him at all! They are now loving their life as being cats with no dogs at Megan's house......but I think poor Ash would still love to have kitties to chase and annoy!

Question......they're saying on the Disneyland Boards that the "big announcement" tomorrow is most likely about DVC coming to the Grand Californian Hotel at D-Land.

So tell me.....can you also use DVC points at locations other than Disney?

You sure can...btw will you use my name as a referral if you buy?????:rolleyes1

Edited to add: There is the concierge collection where you can book night by night, or Interval International which you can trade full weeks at. Lots of locations in the Caribbean and all over. In fact our trip to Hawaii is at an II location.

You get the most bang for your points using DVC at the DVC resorts but it can be used elsewhere. Even on Disney cruises.
