On the front top of the main boards, there's an icon for a new "reality" game that they're going to play on the DIS. I guess that's why they had Ty Pennington, Kellie Pickler, Oprah and others show up on the Boards, talking about something new and exciting coming.

Wow, we are really getting close to another milestone post. I haven't been around for any of those lately.

I am trying to figure out what we are going to do over Spring Break next year and I am having a hard time. The problem with our Spring Break is that it starts early, like around March 10. That is also the same weekend as the Texas Age Group Swimming Championships in Austin. Ashley is close to qualifying in two events at this point, and possibly some others. We had thought about going to Disneyland, but not I am thinking I really don't want to go when the weather is cold and I am sure it will be then. But, with not knowing yet is Ashley will swim at the TAGS meet, I really can't make plans to go to Orlando either. We have enough to get 3 free Southwest Airline tickets. My thought was that if she makes it, we could drive to Austin in a rental car, then fly from Austin to Orlando, Orlando back to El Paso. The last meet to qualify is at the end of February, giving us only 3 weeks to firm up a trip to WDW.

She can't swim the meet this weekend because of the All-region band, so, our next meet isn't until the weekend before Christmas, then we will have one in Midland over MLK weekend in January, and 2 in February.

I hate not being able to plan anything.

We went to Disneyland last March. The days were gorgeous, but the nights were cold.....coat, gloves and scarf cold! But I'd go again in a heartbeat, the crowds were so low.
Tried to talk Jay into it for this March...our Spring Break is different than California's....but no dice. Darn it.

Working around Ashley's swimming sounds like working around Jared's baseball last summer........

Internet has been acting funky so we'll see if it'll actually stay connected for awhile.

John's off at the Rockets game tonight, Maggie just got home from her girl scout meeting. The leaders have decided to disband the troop, so they had a final blow-out at the go-cart place. (I would be willing but, can't take anything else on until February...) Maggie was just under the height limit, so a mom had to drive. Mike's bus gets home much later - so, I wasn't able to go too. I bet if John wasn't heading to the basketball game, he would have made the sacrifice to chaperone

We have the same problem this summer as well. The long course championships are toward the end of July. This will be her last year in this age group before aging up, so this is the year we really need to concentrate on her qualifying for that as well. Unfortunately, we have such a small window of time that we can get time to go anywhere with Charley's schedule. So, if she qualifies again in the summer, it is tied into Charley's 2nd week of vacation. and of course Dale can't be gone in August because that is when Marching Band starts back up. YUCKKKKKK
