For example, some might consider this fluff....but it's interesting to ME...

I forgot to tell you all this the other day. It's something Monica might see more often, living where she does, but because we're pretty far from Luke Air Force Base, we'd never seen it before.

Last Sunday, a STEALTH fighter flew over our house, twice. And thanks to being one-handed, I couldn't grab my camera fast enough. The noise was incredible....but the sight was really amazing. What a cool plane. Looked like a kite, or something from Batman.

Not a very effective stealth fighter if you could see it :rotfl2:

#1, I'm so disappointed in Stacey. You missed the TOP, girlie!! You had between 11:47 and 12:03 to snag it, and you didn't. Must be the pain medications! :)

#2, I'm no military expert, but my guess is when they are trying to be sneaky they fly much higher. :lmao: :lmao:

This is going to be my only personal comment on postcounts. I don't care about them. I learned that thru a very nasty person who thinks the post count is be all and end all of their message board existance. 1 post or 1 million, means all the same to me, the people making a post and the substance of the posts is all that matters to me. Kind of why I don't post very often, I don't usually post unless I really have something to say.

(sticks moddie hat on)
If having the most posts is what makes someone happy, let's just let them have their fun, and drop the subject right here. Thanks.

They're not supposed to be visually invisible, just invisible to radar. :)

Very wild looking thing, I've only seen one once and yes, they are VERY loud.

Stacey,

Last year I refused to let my parents slave in the kitchen for Thanksgiving so I ordered a turkey (fried then frozen) from Popeye's. All they had to do was put it in the oven to heat. My parents were surprised at how good it was. Bruce & I had one before at his sister's so I knew how good it would be.

Ang

Popeye's Cajun fried turkey sounds delicious! :thumbsup2

When it comes to chicken, 1st is Knott's Berry Farm(used to have one in Mall of America), then tied for 2nd is Brown's and Popeye's. KFC doesn't even show up on the radar anymore, they have gone downhill so quick around here.

I'd love to spring for one of those this Thanksgiving. Mom, whose cooking was so awful I taught myself to cook, has discovered the Food Network. A dinner now is either something really good (if she gets it right from what she saw on tv) or just plain waaaay out there.
She was very eager to host it this year, which is leaving me a teeny bit :scared1:

Along those lines - why could we still see Wonder Woman in her invisible jet? Shouldn't she still be invisible? :rotfl:

The kids took over the netflix cue - We just finished Challenge of the Superfriends from Saturday morning cartoons and the 3rd season of Wonderwoman.

I knew that, but I thought it was funny none the less :)

Isn't the noise incredible? I went to college in a town that had an AFB where they had Stealth fighters. On a certain day of the week, they'd do training exercises and I'd be in class thinking for sure the entire building was going to fall down from the vibrations.

And I always thought it looked like the Batplane too! :thumbsup2

can't debate on Knott's Berry Farm -but. what about White Fence Farm?- IMO, the #1 is White Fence Farm in Lemont (IL)!!! Always on my must have list when I visit home! I miss their corn fritters!!! Living in Joliet - close to the mother restaurant and a carry-out down the street was very dangerous... It was even my final meal before Mike was born... :teeth:

Then I'd have to agree with Brown's (we don't have any in Texas) and Popeye's ( :thumbsup2 Our best choice in this area)

I skipped them as I didn't think anyone who didn't live here would know who they are, was just sticking ot national places. Have an Aunt&Uncle in Woodridge. WFF is easily the equal of Knotts. And there's a place not far from our house that makes a great broasted chicken too.

For nationally/regionally recognized chains I would have to agree - Browns and Popeye's. KFC's quality has gone down hill.

I just heard a news item the other day - KFC is going back to their roots and returning to as Kentucky Fried Chicken. The Colonel will be featured in a red apron (paying tribute to him as a cook) and emphasizing Fried Chicken - not their other products.

KFC is no longer trendy - retro hits the colonel

Best line in the column...

"Bottom line? You've got me."

He always reads them out loud to me before he emails them in and when he said "you've got me" all I could think of was "you've got me, babe" :lmao:

TOP!!

See, Stacey, this is how it's done! :) :lmao: :duck:

I'm still trying to figure out what the heck was so controversial in last week's article that people would be upset over what he wrote - :confused3 Disney's policy is what's upsetting and I'm not even a DVC member.

His article was extremely obvious and absolutely dripping in sarcasm how could anyone miss the point - it's hysterical.

Which led me to think of this chorus - thanks to Huey Lewis:

Yes, its true, (yes its true) I am happy to be stuck with you
Yes, its true, (yes its true) Im so happy to be stuck with you
cause I can see, (I can see) that youre happy to be stuck with me

So we have another day with no internet and everyone gets chatty. Eight pages? That might be a post-cruise record for us. Oh yeah, it was a milestone.

Stacey, do you have an HMO or something? That's lousy. I'd be at the ER too.
