Believe it or not, I didn't get one single call this entire election season. Well, unless you count the lawn ppl trying to convince me that my whole lawn will DIE unless I get the lime treatment for $400!

And, no, not the lime green treatment! :) Otherwise I would have considered it! :)

Mike is calling this Black Wednesay based on election results. :( Ya know what though....I don't even care anymore. They are all sheisters. :(

I definitely hear you there.

Black Wednesday indeed.

Today they are having the services for our friend Barb's mother. They brought her Dad home (to Barb's house) last night, and this morning he died in his sleep. So much heartache.

As for me.... typing one-handed (actually only the left pointer) again. I fell last night....just totally missed the step. Calling the doc to see when I can get in. I don't think my wrist was so lucky this time. Had to get up during the night every 4 hours for another painkiller.

I will tell you this. We had a Canon digital and just KNEW we had to have a big ol' SLR (cannon rebel) So we have one (and it does take great pictures) Now we are in the market for another Canon digital--a smaller one--b/c the rebel is just too bulky to be hauling around WDW. We take less pictures with it b/c it's a pain in the butt to carry around and take in and out of the bag. It'll have it's place (closer to home) but for vacation we're thinking of "downgrading" to the Cannon G7 :)

As we are on a major budget and debt reduction program, Mike wants to get the camera and call it Christmas for both of us and birthday for both of us. I'm not sure I want to give up all other gifts for this ONE thing. As soon as I say OK, I'm sure he'll buy the thing. I'm just making him sweat it out. :)

Woman, you need a padded room!!!

I'm so sorry, her family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Not that I get to use John's nikon very often  - but, the shutter speed of his camera outweighs the bulkiness. When I use the small camera - it's tough to remember to press the button, wait and then move... (Even though the reaction times have gotten better - I'm sooo spoiled!!!)

Let's see - My mom has been nagging me and in turn I've been nagging him - let's see if your name will make the difference...

John has finished Maggie's soccer team gifts (I'm team mom) - he photoshopped an action photo of each girl surrounded by a boarder of her teammates' action photos. They look great - I'll try to get him to post one too...

Stacey, please pass our sympathies along to Barb. How horrible. But I guess it happens a lot in long marriages. My grandparents passed within two weeks of each other.

And take care of yourself! Yes, a padded room is in order. Get Jay on that, OK?

OK, I have a Nikon 50 DSLR and a small Canon now too. I like the Nikon best, it's so much easier to upload to the computer, but I sure wouldn't want to haul it around WDW. Ask Kevin if his neck and shoulders have recovered yet from hauling HIS D200 camera around Chicago! Good pictures, though, yes. Would be better if I learned how to really use the darn thing.

Faster write speed to the card, no more waiting....... (less fish butts) :rotfl2:

Better exposure and focus controls

Interchangeable lenses - this can really be helpful, although it's nice to have the one lens that is more versatile.

Off camera flash options

Opportunity to spend a lot more money....... :thumbsup2

People think that just because you have "nice camera" that it automatically takes better pictures. There is so much that is involved with lighting, composition, exposure, etc. that you have the potential to take great pictures, but that can be true of the smaller prosumer cameras as well. Just learn how to use what ever camera you have and that will go a looonnnngggg way!!! :thumbsup2
