Can someone PLEASE help me out with getting the MCO Airport Hyatt on Priceline or Hotwire??? What do I "click" to get that particular hotel? HELP me HELP me.
Hope you don't mind an interloper here! I just posted our info yesterday on the Hyatt via Hotwire on another thread.

You cannot be guaranteed that Hotwire will come through BUT the telltale sign is that it is the only 3.5-star hotel at MCO with the “Tennis” icon.

When we were scheduling our Hyatt stay we booked through AAA and got a rate of $169. We did this so we would have a definite room just in case Hotwire didn’t come through. I was checking Hotwire weekly to find its listing. What I noticed was that it didn’t seem to appear until VERY close to an upcoming date I would enter. There was another 3.5 star hotel, but when looking at the savings posted it was obvious it wasn’t the Hyatt.

We were sailing on the Member Cruise (Oct 22) and the Hotwire rate didn’t show up until Oct 17. I booked it immediately (it was a great rate of $71 plus taxes) and then we cancelled our AAA booking. I got a little nervous that it wasn’t going to come through, but it worked out great.

Hoping this info helps!

I would also be curious to see what people thought about a RCCL cruise. The new ships look pretty cool and it seems there are neat things for the kids. Has anyone heard anything good about them???

John and I have sailed RCCL twice on their older, smaller ships - the Nordic Empress now called ? and the Splendeur (or however they spell it) - both times before pre-stretching. We loved both ships. At that point - we didn't see much for the kids - small, limited kids club areas - which made Disney more appealing for family cruising. Now that the kids are older and RCCL has added more amenities for families like the rock climbing wall to their smaller, older ships which sails out of Galveston, we just may "jump ship" at some point and take the kids on RCCL to test the idea of cruising can be without the mouse. Not ruling out a mega-ship out of florida - just love the convenience of being so close to port.

Monica -- I have also thought of sailing out of Galveston, but since I don't want to do another Western, I think I will head farther east. I think I saw somewhere that RCCL is moving a Voyager Class ship to Galveston, not sure when, but I think it is summer 2007. You might check that out.

One last burst post to make up for not being around for the last week.

Ashley had the Middle School All-Region Band Tryouts on Saturday.

She was one of only three 7th graders picked for the Top Band.

We are supposed to leave on Friday about noon to drive to Midland (about 300 miles) for the Texas All-Star Swim Tournament, where she will be competing with other all-star teams across the state. Looks like we are going to be real busy the next few weeks. Can't wait till Thanksgiving.

This deserves some :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Way to Go!!!!!s

Officially 7:00 - so I can post the best campaign debate and not be accused of influence peddling....

It is a local race for circuit court judge....and they are stricly limited in what they can comment on.

One candidate stands up (after introductions and says)..."Remember FRENCH on the Bench"....

The second candidate stands up and retorts....

"No French on the Bench, put BEER in the courthouse"...

Well, it was a difficult decision.....

Here is a site from a couple who sailed on the Freedom by RCCL. The Freedom Class Ships (Freedom & Liberty) look pretty cool. Not knowing what DCL will do, this may be a good option for us.

The site contains a good report with lots of photos. Enjoy. Just copy and paste.

So guess what was waiting for me when I got home last night???

Can Ya?????

Come on try!!!!!!!

Did you say "THE WETSUIT"

Yippeee ----- Well it is certainly easy to get on.....not a problem there....Color is tres cool......black with a neon DIZ green stripe on the side and up the arm.....

I shall try it out in water and see.....Sam thinks it is a little big around the waist and back - but I say that is for the Cruise Food.....(hee hee).

A little disappointed that the neck is not higher......anyone ever heard of a neoprene scarf?? :rotfl2:

And NO WAY are you getting a picture -- well maybe of Hedgie wearing it...

Take care - must rush...

One of the really cool parts of getting a custom wet suit is the refit. Try it a few times and then have them alter it.

Hi everyone, just saw the posts about 2008, have been waiting patiently for the prices to come out but guess we wont be doing anything that seems to be planned.
If DCL doesn't come thru we will stick with Princess
for anyone interested come join us September 2007, Sun Princess, we love the personal choice dining and this is a smaller ship than the grand class we have been on.
I would love to do Hawaii, but from CA they are 15 days so doubt the Magic will be doing that.
Just did B2B Alaska and loved it, B2B on Wonder is of no interest to me PC twice - yukky, Nassau twice- boring!!!

Luckily voting is over !!!!! :wizard:

We will be at WDW 12/22 to 12/26 if anyone is going to be there.
Decided on a quick trip over the holidays but now not sure I made a good choice as I'm already dreading the crowds.
My parents anniversary is on Thanksgiving, DB and SIL and kids will be in South Africa, other sister and family are going to be with friends so I am doing TG again, somehow I get myself into this most years. :confused3

Looking forward to the first plunge in St. Thomas.....

As they are in Orlando, I may ask them to refit it in person.

Have you ordered yours yet?

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Wednesday!

Back to work today for me. It will be a short week but I'm sure a full one. Then we get to head out to MI to see some friends. Life is good.

Mike is calling this Black Wednesay based on election results. :( Ya know what though....I don't even care anymore. They are all sheisters. :(

I think our final tally was

President Bush 3 hang-ups
Laura Bush 2

No named democrats

unnamed supporters- too many to count - they didn't identify themselves within the 1st sentence, beyond "The _________ are trying to __________"

Ya think there's a telemarketing loophole in the no-call list law....go figure

Do you know of anyone who listened to a call in it's entirety? :confused3

Believe it or not, I didn't get one single call this entire election season. Well, unless you count the lawn ppl trying to convince me that my whole lawn will DIE unless I get the lime treatment for $400!

No calls for us either. Lots of paper jammed in our front door, but no calls. :)
