Ah, I miss that pretty suite! I notice some of the pictures were taken after shopping trips. Kind of a theme of our cruise!

I called and made a doctor's appointment today, then went back to bed. And now I think I'm a little better. Of course!

Doesn't matter if you are better...go to the doctor anyway! (say yes, mother)


Yeah....I'm afraid the suites have me spoiled. Was thinking it would be fun to take a quick 4 night...like after F&W next year....but would do it cheaper....lower category, as long as it had a verandah. I was looking at the pictures on the Virtual Tour, and wondering if I could handle that. To be cruising.....yes, I think I could handle it!!!

Friday Food and Wine was perfect - We slpet late - not a normal concept when we are at WDW as we always want to be at the gates when they open, still, World Showcase does not open until 11:00 -- started the day, of course with a glass of the bubbley - this time from Spain...then a walk around the wrold showcase to sample all sorts of yummy things.

We went Christmas shopping instead of waiting until later in the year - Someone talked me into a Cruise and I need to have everyting ready...We were successful and crossed 4 folk off our list.

We signed up for a Food and Wine Pairing at The Living Seas. Met a nice couple (His company made the commerative glass plates - nice - have a look), I'll post the menu later (after it is scanned).

Then a walk around the world showcase to walk off the Food and Wine Pairing - and to sample a few desserts....

The moon was beautiful that evening. And we ended the day with a glass of bubbley back at the room --- sigh.........

Chile

Porotos Granados - This was a repeat from last year and very good. Beans would not be a tasting of choice but it was good - almost a soup or stew. Served with extra chili oil, the kind chef's assistant asked, and then added more -- slurp!
Sauteed Corvina - this looked well worth trying, a fish dish...but we ran out of appetite. Someone try this for me please!!!
Semolina Con Leche

The wines are getting a short shrift from us this trip - how did we let that happen?

NOW doctor update transplant doc was on 10-2

10-5 had 2 tests done as out patent. scope from both ends. top was okay
they other they took out an old pollup they said. billyrubben one drop they other spiked way up.
still same place on list. doc is starting too have ISSUES with me still working.
monday had ultrasound done for liver again. monday night got reall sick sweats and chills felt good after I throw up 4 times
I need to get my weight back up 189 now 170 about 6 weeks time.

NEED TRIP TOO F & W AT W D W to put on wieght YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask the doc if they can transplant WEIGHT. If so, I'd be happy to donate.

Hey, I took pictures! They're around here somewhere... Oh yeah, they're still in that PITA Canon that someone talked me into.

I got antibiotics! Maybe I will quit coughing eventually. I think I've busted something in the side of my neck.

Note to self (using Irene's expression), don't sit/stand next to Frances in pictures. At the very least, my head looks huge in comparison.

Don't start with me about feeling bigger. I'm still trying to figure out what that big thing is growing out of the side of Frances' head. Next time, I need to stand behind Vicki. She's taller.

Speaking of the cruise pics....they are finally on disk. Well, two disks. I had them done on Saturday, and when Jay & I were watching them, I realized a lot were missing. Almost all of St Kitts. So I put those on a third disk, only to realize that there were even more that were missing.
I started back at Square One. Tossed those disks, divided my files into two separate files, and finally got them all copied.
Next time, ya'll can take your own pictures!




But they sure do look good on the big screen TV!

I guess we all pretty much start out at square one, huh? We did our wedding sort of western. I found my dress at the mall...the last store I looked in...and it probably cost a whopping $40. Which was a lot for me back then. And we also just had two friends taking snapshots, so nothing more than 3.5x5's for us.

We had our reception/honeymoon at an 1880's stage stop, still standing and cared for by the Forest Service & a friend of ours....not too far from our cabin. Cooked steak over a huge pit, and had someone make a cake that had a forest scene on it. One lady who lived up in those parts, a friend of the Forest Ranger, turned out to be a member of "Earth First!" and eventually spent time in prison for some of her antics.
At least it all makes for an interesting story.

We had a great wedding but times were sure different. I wrote our invitations, our friends made our rings, another the flower arrangements. Sam's mother hosted the reception at her house as we had a church wedding. And we went to WDW for our Honeymoon (but I posted that didn't I?)

Then 25 years later, I planned a simple vow renewal in Hawaii - just the 2 of us. I had a wedding planner - honest - from the hotel. I had a selection of 6 different flavors of cake filling and 10 different cake batters (for a 6 inch cake) - Imagine!!!! The vow renewal dress cost more than the wedding dress......And did I say we went to Hawaii????

Life is good....

We'd second that a trip to Food and Wine will add pounds....have you been checking what we ate????? It is back to lettuce for the next few weeks, or maybe months......

More food and wine postings....This time....

Scandinavia -

A must stop....
Grilled Salmon Tartare- Don't let the name fool you, the salmon is delicious, we had a large portion on top a traditional flatbread. It was served chilled, with onions, capers and spices - very good.

Traditional Kjottkaker - Can't pronouce it, then ask for a meatball. It was a repeat taste for Sam. I had the cheese califlower pototoes accompanyment - also very good.

Lingonberry Mousse - Disappointing - esp. after last years dessert.

Carlsberg Beer - guess this explains the lack of wine. It was warm, so beer ruled......
