NO KIDDING!! What were you guys....TWELVE???

Gotta love the big glasses Mike and Jay both wore back then.
Oh wait, Jay still wears them sometimes.......

Almost double that....23.
And, looking at that picture made me realize that my hair NEVER cooperated! That's why it's so short now. At least being this short it doesn't wing out all over! :) :lmao:

and....big glasses were IN then! :)

Ok, Ok, I realized it wouldn't be THAT hard to post my picture tonight (the hardest part was avoiding the glare from the flash.) So here it is. We look like babies!

Behind us is the Jesus carving that hung from the ceiling of the sanctuary. My college roommate affectionately named it "Touchdown Jesus." Yes, she's a sports buff....actually has worked at ESPN for the last 10 yrs!

OMG - were you 12 when you got married! You are both so young!

As for Touchdown Jesus - everyone knows that is at Notre Dame!

Recognize Anyone?????

We had a friend take photos - and they were stored for years. This is from the 25th Wedding Album. I rescued a few and had them restored and enlarged, as they were taken from quite a distance from the altar. I also made my veil..a row of lace and tiny pearls....The dress as I said was a simple prom dress.

My reply was going to be...I'd have to SCAN it....and #1, I'm not sure if we own a scanner and #2, if so, I wouldn't know how to use it....

but as I hit "reply" I thought....I could take a picture of a picture and post that. Will have to try that.....tomorrow. :) Although, my goodness, we look like BABIES in our wedding pictures!!!

We don't have a scanner either so I took a picture of our picture. It's not great since the original was a proof (small 3 x 5 or so). Unlike Kiki though, we have our negatives. Our photographer had the option to buy the negatives from him. We have all of the proofs but no enlargements ... just never got around to getting any enlarged for us (for our parents yes, but for us no).

Stavey - love the pictures of the cruise trips.

WOW - Wedding Memories.....These are all great - thanks everyone for sharing.

More later - gotta run - took longer to scan the photo than I thought....aaak - look at the time.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Tuesday!

Love seeing all the wedding pictures! Such great memories.

WOW. This is exactly what we did. We have all of our proofs and negatives and nothing was ever done. Of course, at the time we were married, I was starting a new job and Mike was in medical school, so there wasn't a lot of $$$ to be enlarging pictures.

The girls were looking at old photos the other day & commented on Daddy's clown glasses. I too remember when big frames were IN. They haven't seen any pictures of me in my blue clown glasses.

I recognize the hair! You two haven't changed much either. Sam looks about the same....except for that candle in his face.
Your veil was beautiful. I really admire you gals who could do that.

I guess we all pretty much start out at square one, huh? We did our wedding sort of western. I found my dress at the mall...the last store I looked in...and it probably cost a whopping $40. Which was a lot for me back then. And we also just had two friends taking snapshots, so nothing more than 3.5x5's for us.

We had our reception/honeymoon at an 1880's stage stop, still standing and cared for by the Forest Service & a friend of ours....not too far from our cabin. Cooked steak over a huge pit, and had someone make a cake that had a forest scene on it. One lady who lived up in those parts, a friend of the Forest Ranger, turned out to be a member of "Earth First!" and eventually spent time in prison for some of her antics.
At least it all makes for an interesting story.

T.O.P. !

If anyone is interested, I posted pictures of the "Walt" suite on Mary's Virtual Stateroom Tour thread on the Main cruise boards.

Mary....can you post the link to it?? I'm challenged. Thanks.

Ah, I miss that pretty suite! I notice some of the pictures were taken after shopping trips. Kind of a theme of our cruise!

I called and made a doctor's appointment today, then went back to bed. And now I think I'm a little better. Of course!
