Happy Sunday!

Jim - thanks for checking in yesterday on your meeting with Virgil and family. Hope dinner was enjoyable!

The ladies on the Wonder are in the home stretch. One week down and 4 days to go. Hope they are enjoying themselves.

Sorry I haven't been around the thread much. Been posting and getting things ready for our next cruise which is the DVC Member Cruise that sails in 4 weeks!

I am jealous Mary -- wish we were joining you on the member cruise. When will they announce the one for next year??? Might have to think about that one.

Hi everyone! We are home from the sept double dip which was a blast! WE had an awesome time, and I got to sail again with a great friend and it was just so great! I did not see the Wonder, but I heard we passed each other one night and I did think of the ladies on board...
Costa Maya was awesome AGAIN! I swear I wanna live there! This time we went to private resort and snorkeled and swam in their freshwater pool! It was awesome awesome awesome! WE had the whole place to ourselves and I cant believe more people have not organized excursions there. IT was called Maya Palms resort! We were also fed lunch and had an open bar! IT rocked!
Castaway Cay beautiful of course!!!!!! Was sad to hear Hollywood was over on the wonder....he was missed we had DJ Mike who was nice but nearly as outgoing as Hollywood...and the only bad point is this new band on the MAGIC!! X.O.P Oh my gosh!!! I swear these people must have taken a cruise, decided they loved it and tried to figure a way to cruise for free, and said Oh I know lets make a band! They are SUPER SUPER bad guys! In all the cruises the band has never swayed me one way or antoher, but we made it a point to stay away from ANY area this band was at!
Oh also, there are some new castaway club pins...not really a pin but the giant dangle thin that hangs from the bottom of a lanyard? It is really cute. IT is a cruise counter pin..I meant to buy more but never seemed to remember because you had to have a special card because it was only a certain number per person

Pam - Jim Lewis announced this one on last years cruise. Wonder if he'll make another annoucement on this years cruise. I hope so! I also hope you could join us. These cruises are a lot of fun. We're sad that for the first time in 3 years we won't be cruising with Karen and Mike as well so hopefully they can join next time too.

Welcome back Amanda - glad to hear you had a good time.

Well, I guess it's only fair. After all, we cruised without you in January.

Actually, I just told Mike a couple of days ago that it was a blessing we didn't book this cruise. That'll be tech week for Nick's play and there is NO WAY they'd have let him go for the week---he just wouldn't have been cast. This is too good of an opportunity to have missed (world premier cast!)

I know - it is truly one of those "everything happens for a reason". Doesn't mean we won't miss you!

We are back home, not from a cruise, but from our quick weekend with Virgil and crew.

We had a great time. Dinner was wonderful. I can't remember the last time I rode a pony around a restaurant! Of course Lisa won the handstand contest. I don't think the waiter was expecting any competition from this little girl.

This morning I got up early and walked over to Fort Wilderness to catch the start of the trialothon. Over there I saw a friend and her husband, Dan, was a particpant. He is the one that got me into running marathons. I got to see him transition from the swim into the bikes. He was a little surprised.

Later on we went to Epcot center. It was pretty empty....the thinnest I have seen it in years. Everything was set up for Food and Wine so maybe people were just waiting for a couple more days before heading to Epcot.

While there I got to see Dan finish the 10K. There were a lot of amazing people participanting in the trialothon.

We had lunch in Italy. Virgil's crew fly back this afternoon. To bad he would not let us bring Lauren home with us. We tried! :lmao:

Amanda -- sounds like you had a great time. Was this your cruise without the kids?

Sounds like Jim and Virgil's family also had a nice time. I am so ready to go somewhere. Wish I were planning a trip to WDW. I am going to fly down to San Antonio the first weekend in November. I am actually flying into Austin and will stay with my parents over night, then we are all going to drive from Austin to San Antonio, to watch Dale's band perform in the Bands of America Super Regional contest.
Well, gotta go and start planning for he rest of the week. (yuck) Going to be a busy one. Ashley has her first swim meet of the the new season in Las Cruces starting Friday. See ya'll later.

Good Morning All - Sunday was a great day to DIVE,

We dove off of Palm Beach - "Flower Gardens" - sahllow dive - 45-54 feet.

There was a class on board so 6 of the folks went with their instructor. Two were after lobser so that left the dive master and Sam and I --- It could be named the morray dive. We saw many small babbies - about 4 inches long, if that. both green and spottted. And the largest Green Morray ever - His (Her) head was huge - 24", 36" - It was hiding in a cave until the dive master said "coochie-choochie) or gestures to that effect. It must have been over 6 feet long...

And cute tophats, basket stars all curled p for the day, and a teeney nudabranckh (?) and of course other reef fish.

Jm, I did good on air...Still had 2000 so we swam the trench. Surfaced with 1200...due to bottom time. But the seas were choppy so guess who did not dive the second time....Yup, that was me....I had a great first dive and after being thrown about on the boat did not feel like diving the second dive, so I curled up and wnet to sleep....

Saturday we went to an exotic plant show in S.W. Broward. Fortunately, Sam only purchased one small (now) palm tree. The orchid and bromliad I purchased do not count....Next weekend we must get out and cut back the jungle.

And what were you all up to?

Irene - we just finished a contest over on the thread but it wasn't mine. It was guess a movie screen shot and the guy who did it did a great job. A great group and I'm trying to talk many of them into joining us in 2008.
