The barstaff will keep you well supplied - and if they are very attentive, you won't even notice the discomfort ;)

I'd wear it especially for excursions - uneven terrain or walking distances will be a killer in the evening without it - especially if your foot were to swell - and then you probably wouldn't get your formal night shoes on anyway...

Good point about any swelling.

I'm just so mad about all of this. Well, not really mad..just really disappointed.

Look at it this way - you'll pack 1/2 of the shoes you normally do - it's more room for shopping!!! :thumbsup2

I need advice/help. I'm supposed to wear this stupid boot (walking cast) for 6 weeks. The more I think about how hot it will be on excursions...and then the thought ocurred to me that I have to go down four flights of stairs for the lifeboat drill, which is hard enough for me with that life jacket on.....I'm thinking I'm not going to do it. Obviously, the bone in there has been broken for quite a while. What's another 11 days going to hurt?
And do I really want to thump around in it on FORMAL NIGHT??

So....I'm asking for a vote:

Wear the boot?

Or don't wear the boot?

LOOK WEAR DA BOOT

WAVE TOO ME ON SHORE A G A I N !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think how funny if they search my bags. They'll be wondering why this person only has ONE of each shoe! :scratchin ;)

Maybe on Pirate Night I can wrap brown paper around it and make it look like a peg leg! :teeth:

Amanda, I think CC is the usual last day for us. That would be the 27th. Yes, you'd better go pack! But you need to watch Princess Bride too! "Inconceivable" that you haven't seen it yet.

Alicia got a spa day for her 12th birthday. Haircut, mani, pedi, some make-up. For her 13th, she got highlights. Guess which is the most expensive to keep up? 16th birthday is next. Hmmm, wonder what she's going to want to do to her hair then? She has been talking about multi-colors, and we have been saying noooooo.

Guys are so much easier. To keep the hair up just run a #2 razor over it.

For a 16 birthday party, just give them a helicopter ride. No maintenance, no fuss. :rotfl2:

Oh yes, follow up with an all you can eat pie buffet!!! The perfect birthday for a 16 year old boy.

I've been there and wore the boot. I did take it off when going on the jet ski, but other than that I wore the boot.

Hey, thought of the benefits. Maybe they will put you at the front of the line. :cool1:

Hey OM -

we heard the announcers mention that a generous OSU alumni donated over $200,000 to fly the band to the game! wow!!!

Yup....I think it was $225,000. Thing is.....I'm 99% sure....HE'S A BOWLING GREEN GRADUATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd wear the boot. If it's already got a slight fracture in there, one wrong step and you could have a big, bad, needs-a-real-cast fracture.

Medical care on the islands just ain't the same as here. And besides, Mike won't be on board to diagnose it, you'd have to pay clinic fees! :earseek:

Kids auditioned tonight for another play...."Surviving the Applewhites." It's the FIRST time it's been done....ever. The author is going to be at dress rehearsal and opening night! COOL, eh?

btw, they both did REALLY well!!!!

HAY
GreGg says BROWN but then what does he know??????????????????

have a good night all

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I believe it - A BG grad would be crazy enough to donate that much money for a regular season game - ok it wasn't JUST any game... he could have endowed a scholarship, or many other things to leave a legacy - but, he had to settle for 10 seconds of national fame :lmao:

Cool! It's a great book!! And even better to be a part of a premiere cast - when do you expect to hear if the kids are called back or cast?

Mike and Maggie got their music this weekend for our theatre group. The fall show will be a Broadway Musical review. The Children's chorus is singing "Bigger isn't better" and "Come Follow the Band" from Barnum. They can put the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat music to rest...The show ended in July!!! It's time!!! I never thought I'd ever say I would be tired of Donny Osmond!!!

We'll find out tomorrow evening (10:30-11:00 ish) if they get called back for callbacks. We'll probably find out Tuesday night (late again) if they are cast. :) Again, it's always the "if one gets cast I hope the other does too" kinda feeling. :)

I know what you mean about putting music to rest. We were singing Scrooge songs around here forever. Anytime anyone said "Thank you very much" all of a sudden we'd break into the song "Thank you very much!" And just TODAY for some reason, I started singing one of the other songs---and it's not even a song my kids sang in the play!

Yeah, KT wants to be cast b/c the director said that from now on, the listing of the ORIGINAL cast would be in all of the scripts!!!

It was funny when he called her up....b/c he said "KT read E.D.".....then he laughed and said "oh, that's really funny....KT as E.D." :)
