The carjacking/kidnapping that happened here earlier in the week wound up not being random. It did happen in the parking lot of the building that Bruce works in.

Angie, there was just an armed robbery at the Subway (about a month or so ago) but that turned out to be an inside job. The robber was dating one of the employees and they set it up. Shook my BIL (Subway manager) up pretty badly though. For a few weeks he thought it was REAL! Not sure which Subway that is b/c the've moved him around a lot lately to help struggling stores.

I bet that was scary. The police arrested a suspect last night. The guy was stupid enough to go to the hospital here in Roswell/Alpharetta.

Your siggie reminds me ... I went have lunch with Emily yesterday & picked up Chick-fil-a. The kids "toy" was a Ask How? I haven't truly looked at it yet but think it's science-related facts. But, it's along the same lines of Mike's Ask Why. Chick-fil-a always has education toys.

He's hoping to someday get this writing/podcasting thing off the ground and then move to FL. He'd still want to work a bit (probably in an pediatric urgent care) to keep his foot in the door and get "material."

Tell him to hurry up... my kids won't need a pediatrician much longer.

(Actually, neither of them see a ped now... we've got one family practice MD for all of us... couldn't find a single ped who was accepting new patients when we first moved here... )

Stacey -- so sorry to hear about your knee and heel problems. Our friends that went on the cruise with us, well she had to have knee surgery yesterday. Talked to her last night and the leg was still numb, not sure how she will feel today. Take it easy.
