Good Morning All --- sweet dreams if you are supposed to be sleeping.....I trust everyone had a nice Father's Day??????


I have to admit the jungle won, and then it started raining, and then it got hot, so not too much was accomplished in the garden yesterday. I did tackle one patch by the front lamp.....The old "yank everything out of the ground - and pull up the weeds and then replant the flowers" approach. OK, they are not really flowers but groundcover, so a little tougher than it seems.

Watched some snippets of the World Cup between rainshowers.

Still no progress on completing the album or downloading the pictures for Mark.....better get busy!

The closet is done...basically. Jay came in and asked me if I was going to clean off the shelves. Yes...someday. Or maybe HE'D like to do those.
144 articles of clothing went into bags. And that's just pants, shirts and sweaters...not little stuff.
Eventually, I'll do my drawers too. Does this count as exercise??

I'm right with you girlfriend...remember - I'm coming back as a man for sure, but the best job has to be a meteorologist. Yup, that's for me.

I'm with you on the meterorologist - you can be wrong 50% of the time.....I like those odds.....not sure about that "man" though....

Hello everyone

I've been busy getting Bryce ready to be gone for 5 weeks. He's on Catalina Island - Kevin keep an eye out for him..........I told him he should make buddies of the dive staff there Alan drove him out yesterday afternoon (no, not all the way to the island). Bryce was on an 11:15am boat to Catalina this morning and then Alan headed home. He made it in just under 6 hours. Not a particularly thrilling fathers day. I did have some cold beer and onion dip waiting for him when he got back

Hope Bryce has fun! Catalina is a fun place to spend a few weeks of the summer.

Did he and you get a chance to look at the video? Turned out pretty well!

I like the idea of a do-over too but we'll have to see. Shane graduates in 2008 and I think I mentioned already he thinks he's going to spend two months travelling across Europe. If that's the case, it would make the cost of the cruise less

Hey Stacey, what are you going to do with your "stuff"? If you're not sure yet I have a suggestion. I have a friend who is a breast cancer survivor (14 months past treatment). She and 4 of her family members are doing the 3 day walk this fall. They are having a yard sale as one of their fundraisers. They have to raise $2500 each. I'd be happy to get it from you - only if you don't already have plans for it!

We need to schedule a post cruise lunch!

hey Stacey- come to my house. I had to clean everything in every room in a week and a half. House is starting to look good. Or at least it will when the floors get in again. Even found another helicopter that I put in dumpster quickly. Exercise in the closet you bet it is. I need a cruise.

Honey, I would have been there in a HEARTBEAT if I lived closer!! NO MORE HELICOPTERS!!

I'm so proud...you know what else I did yesterday?? I put all of our Shutters photos in a scrapbook album. When I needed to sit for a few minutes.
Now all I need to do is go back and add cute little "scrapbook" stickers and some of my pictures.
I also put our formal night picture in a frame and hung it.

Yes....productive day....but it almost killed me.

Speaking of the scrapbook....question for either the scrapbookers or the picture buffs.... I bought some of the photo paper that has a sticky back, peel off the back and stick them where you want. I thought this would be good for the scrapbook. But....does anyone know if the picture would fade over time?

It depends on what type of printer you are printing on. If is is a dye based inkjet then yes it will fade in several years. If it is a "pigment" based printer then the fading is supposed to take 100 yrs. Which printer are you using? Also what brand is the paper?

Days like today make me think Virgil might be right.

I updated my DVD driver and it shut down the computer. Would not even boot up. It took numerious safe mode boots to finally get the DVD driver removed and back to normal.

I'm sure Macs don't have these problems!!
