5/12-5/26, 2007- LIVE from the first MED repo cruise! Now adding PICS! :)

Be careful when doing this with a credit card. Some (I didn't say all) banks/CC companies consider this a cash advance. Bring along some checks to cash, or get some Euros before you go.

May I make a suggestion or two. A couple people on the TA have mentioned this thread is too long to read due to cost of the internet package, and due to the in/out connectivity issues. And the OP made this thread to post live reports in the first place. A lot of us (myslef included) have run this thread up, with non live posts. I suggest
Anyone just subscribing to the thread, you do not need to post to subscribe. Go to the top of the thread, there is a link called thread tools. You can click subscribe there. It may cut down on some "just subscribing" posts.

Questions like this one about Euros, or the one about CC gift, maybe we should post them on another thread. We can start a new one, called something like "Questions for those of you on the Magic for the TA". I am as guilty as anyone, as I have posted answers and maybe more.

By doing this, we may be able to keep the thread manageable, and enjoyable by all, including those currently on the Magic. Anyway, just my 2cents.

Great idea to cut down on the posts. Let's listen to what's going on.

Here's an FYI for upcoming Med Cruises. This wonderful list has been compiled by SweetSue. What a great service she's done for us.

This is a great list of FAQ's.

Great thread!
Sorry to take up more space. BUT, I just have to say this.

If you come across a very tall guy missing his left arm, and a very short girl with lots of tattoos at the adult pool......tell them their hedgehog is doing just fine but we still hate them for going without us.

(it's Jodi and Jason, btw....both Iraq war vets)

Carry on! I love it so far!

I'm enjoying the live updates Michelle! I was arriving in Boise from Denver on a flight right about the same time you were leaving (11:45 am). Wouldn't it be a hoot if we'd passed you in the boarding area??

I hope all the little things iron themselves out for you as you relax into six consecutive days at sea. Our family will be bringing her home next August, so we are very interested in hearing your experiences on the way over.

Thanks, Michelle! Your updates are great.

We also are sailing on the westbound repo and interested in just about everything. Will be interested in what it is like being on the open sea.

Take good care of our ship! Just 3 months from today we arrive in Barcelona to bring it home. :cloud9:

Tonights show was The Golden Mickeys.

The seas are rockin and Rolling, they are traveling at a speed of 24 knots.

And a Couple photo's should follow this post...:lmao:

I am not on the ship. but in 11 days we will be...

Yes we are rocking tonight!

Trip is great. Nice recap Michelle

Last night was a great night. We had Jimmy Buffet night at the adult pool!!!!!!!!

They may do another night of it as it was so popular.

Connection in my room is still not good. But they were working near me today so hopefully it will get better.

Tomorrow is another day at sea!

Debbie

Keep 'em coming!!

I can't wait to get home from school and here about the day's/night's events and see everyone's pictures. Keep'em coming! They make my day and make my June 3 cruise anticipation heightened.

Hi Everyone.

Just a few updates.
WOW!! The seas are rough!!! 8-13 foot waves and we are all walking around like we had way too many Margaritas!

Here’s a great story, I was able to secure spots for Sophia and Lena to be on stage with Snow White for the Golden Mickeys. We went to dinner and she wasn’t hungry for dinner. She complained of a stomach-ache and that she didn’t feel well. (this is about the time the waves really started to get big. )
She was feeling better before the show and she and her sister were a big success for her 3 minutes of fame.
After the show, as we were walking to the exit of the theater, Sophia and her father was ahead of us by about 30 paces. I started hearing Sophia crying and say my husband ran with her to the bathroom. She was in hysterics as my husband was washing the puke from her hair and face. There was a nice pile right in front of the bathroom.

The only thing she kept saying, was “I can’t be sick on the ship!” About 2 minutes later, a janitor came and asked “what’s my room number”? I said
”I really don’t want to tell you. I’ll clean it up.”

He said we need to know so we can notify the infirmary. I said “I’m not going to tell you” We got into a Curb your Enthusiam-type staring contest until I finally gave in. (I realized that they knew our stateroom number from the Snow White production.)

So we went back to the room, cleaned her up and went to bed. She woke up feeling fine and we had to make a visit to the infirmary. They gave her a pass to go back to the kid’s club. Everyone was feeling the same, so they figured it was the motion-DUH!!!
:sad2:

DH and I had a very evil thought; wouldn’t it be funny if she puked on stage with Snow White??!!! :rotfl2: She would be in quarantine the rest of the trip!

On another note,
Brunch at Palo was nice. Though not as good if your not a fish lover.

We had a birthday cake for DD’s and had a new menu for Formal night at Lumiere’s.

I was told there are 440 kids on the ship. It seems everyone I ask, the numbers are different. Regardless, the pool is never full and there’s always a lounge chair.

We did notice that the average age on board is older, quite a few grandparents and the like. (Which is great, as they aren’t going to run up and down the halls or carry around buckets of beer)

Have a great day!
Jennifer

Sorry to read about your DD getting sick and hopefully she's feeling better - those waves sound huge!

How did you get spots for the girls to be on stage?

How did you get spots for the girls to be on stage?

Get there early, dit down front, smile at the Crew Staff Cast Members looking around at kids, make sure your kids are behaving properly (since they will have to sit away from your for the first part of the show and all)

I saw the radar..you all are in a storm line...kinda like we had after Hurricane Wilma..GOod Luck!!

There are a few things you can do to save on "airtime" when reading and posting to The Boards. One is to pre-type your posts before you log on to the system. Then you can create a new post, cut and paste your text, proofread, and send. Another money saver is to download a page of posts and then "Save Page" as an HTML file or print to a .pdf file. Then you can go offline and read the saved files.

Your forgetting about the people using the public computers on the Magic. You cannot download on them to "read" "respond" later.
