Girls, I had quite a bit of vodka tonight, and I am doing that 5K in the morning. :scared1: Wish me luck!!!
We're cheering you on Tina!!! :cheer2:

Well I went to bed with a nasty headache and woke up with it too! BLEH!!
 Feel better.

Have a few errands to run, and then take Tay and her friends to Laser tag for the afternoon. Plus my cousin is stopping by with his new baby. Mostly, I will be in and out and all over town . I am hoping to get something in the crock pot early, and maybe even make some yummy for dessert.
Sounds like a nice day. Enjoy it!

Let's just say I am facilitating getting it on the schedule. I think those who live closer will take over the actual planning; there seems to be a lot if interest! :) As of now it looks like we might try going with a weekend in August. I will get a planning thread going pretty soon.
Sounds great. Thanks.

Carol, I think this is an excellent idea. Some have discussed doing a nonDisney day before. I wouldn't mind doing something different, maybe even going to a completely different park! :scared1: Also, I love the idea of Food and Wine, and might not mind paying a little extra in order to do the extra stuff. :thumbsup2

ETA-I don't know how hard it would be to plan, but I would love a day where we go to the Disney Soda Shop, maybe catch something at the El Capitain, and just look around that area. That would be a very fun day to me!
The very first trip had a block out day if I recall correctly. Some of the ladies just opted to pay the extra fee and went to the parks anyway. And some of them spent time in Hollywood, went to the Disney Soda Fountain, did some shopping, etc.
So if the April dates win, there are definitely options to work with. ::yes::

Hi ladies!!

I must say that I am getting a little jealous at all the talks of mini-meets. I have no Divas to meet up with.:sad2: I am like odd-girl out...we need more Utah/Idaho divas up in here.
Hello!!! You'll be meeting with us in Vegas in June. :cool1:

It's supposed to be a Pirate Princess theme. :)
Super cute as always. :thumbsup2

Happy Sunday ladies!! Hope you are all having a good day so far.

We had a big family breakfast, then I made a coconut cream cake and now we are getting ready to go for a Sunday drive. :goodvibes It's cloudy, gray and chilly out. Perfect weather!! :yay:

Talk to y'all later! :grouphug:

I just finished uploading and editing my photopass pics.
Some really cute ones of the group!

I could go for a Garden Walk bowling and Johnney Rockets afternoon. That would be fun.:thumbsup2

Oh yes, just a reminder, the poll closes tomorrow. And right now.........it's a tie!!!! popcorn::

But I know several of you haven't voted yet so it's still anyone's guess as to which dates will win. This is like Survivor...... fun!! LOL

Later!

Hey all, many of you on facebook already know this but my father in law was in a bad car accident this afternoon. It looks like he will be all right. They took him to the ER and did x-rays and all that. He is now home with perscription for percoset and he has requested a tuna casserole (I have never made one in my life but will be getting the recipe from my mom so I can make him one!)

Besides that I am doing well and hope you all are too!

SarahMay
Sarah I was not on FB last night or didn't see this anyway--I hope your FIL is doing ok. My Mom also loves tuna noodle casserole--yuck!

I would totally meet up with you chica. Just a bit of a drive for me.

Road trip to Boise? Or better yet we can meet part-way in Salt Lake?

After reading about the Fun you all had at the Diva "Convention", I would like to toss my "EARS" in the mix and plan to attend the trip being planned for next year.

A bit about myself; I like candy buffets and long walks on the disney bricks. I have been known to eat shrimp salad from PP 3 times in one day---one is never enough. Family laughs at me when I first enter the park as I get so excited I can hardly move then when I do I guess I run back and forth for about 20 mins before stopping at an attraction. I read Disney informational books over and over and over, and over again, It is my "Novel of choice" well at least I get my moneys worth.

Hope admission to the "One and only Diva Club" is still OPEN.

The moggler

Kelly, next time I think that I will spend some of my time at Dairy Queen. Although the Boardwalk is a hole it has concerts at reasonable prices. I hope you feel better.

Carol, I have a 30 year old nephew I helped raise. I feel it.

eatmypixiedust, I think I need a notebook to right down every ones names with their disboards names. The purse turned out so cute.

Beth, that sounds like a great way to spend the day. My dh Scotty works every other weekend so we are doing nothing fun.

Well ladies, I am off to a fun filled day of replacing my son's hamsters cage. I lead such and exciting life.:rolleyes1

Michele

Hey girls!

I totally didn't think of block out dates. But, I'm still going no matter what! My AP I have now is a Deluxe and it expires December 2010, if we renew it, it will be a Deluxe again. A non-Disney day sounds good. I'm down for anything!

Jesus and I saw Alice in Wonderland last night and it was AWESOME!! We both loved and it we had a nice dinner at Red Lobster. Today is laundry day and working on our GAD blankets.

Peace!

Oh no, that's terrible! I'm glad that your dad is okay. I wish him a speedy recovery :grouphug:

I'm not sure which zip code you are in, but I renewed my Premium AP last summer online through the disneyland.com website. They offer So-Cal Residents monthly payments for all the AP's. It's really cool and a great option for saving money. :) They charge me $30 a month for mine. I think the prices went up a little bit this year. The monthly fee for the Deluxe (if you are renewing) is $23.25 a month. They don't charge interest. :yay: Here is the link with all the info: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/ap/index?name=AnnualPassholderUngatedMonthlyPaymentsDetailPage

I'm in NorCal, and they don't allow the payment plan her. That would be really nice though.

Hello ladies, and Happy Sunday. The 5K was really fun! I brisk walked/jogged it, and I was feeling pretty good at the end! After the race, we had a picnic lunch, hung out in the sun and just chit-chatted. There were 9 of us participating, plus 6 more rode their bikes to the park and cheered us on. fun times!!!

No, and it sucks huh? It's nice that your 5k was fun.

Road trip to Boise? Or better yet we can meet part-way in Salt Lake?

I could be down for a road trip to Boise. Just have Malibu waiting for me when I get there.

I'm excited. I'm standing in line to see Alice in 3D. It doesn't start toll 4:30 but I've been in line since 3:00. :scared1:

From everything I've heard it's going to be good so I don't mind waiting. We tried to see the 1:40 show but it was sold ou early this morning.

I can't find my shutterfly info. Can someone please PM me? Pretty please with sugar lumps on top.

Anyone else wanna take a trip out to Vegas?? ;)

I just found out that I need to begin making payments on my student loans from that horrible school in Santa Barbara in June. I'm keeping pixie dust on the brain to find a job before then so I can afford to go to Vegas. It's not a "no" yet because I'll be holding out hope until the last second. I really wished that my trip through Vegas last year overlapped the Divas trip but it didn't :sad2:

It sure is! There's a Dairy Queen across the street, so that makes up for it. :rotfl2:

MMM Dairy Queen. I've been craving it for days. I tried going trough the drive through the other night but it was closed. :snooty:

Oh NO! I'm glad he's okay. Car accidents are so scary, especially when you hear that someone you love has been in one and don't know if they're alright. I hope the food was just how he likes it!

Hello Ladies,

I'm so glad that it's sunny outside and not raining anymore. I hope it stays that way. :upsidedow

I finished the blue purse I was decorating. :yay: Here is a pic:

It's supposed to be a Pirate Princess theme. :)

Adorable!

The first year Lauren and I took a road trip up to Hollywood and went to the Pantages to see Wicked ( we got same day, 1/2 price tickets for the matinee) and then went to the Soda Shop for lunch.

There are no words to describe how much I loved Wicked! I've seen so many plays and musicals and Wicked lands the #1 spot (even over Miss Saigon and Les Mis)

Jesus and I saw Alice in Wonderland last night and it was AWESOME!!

YAY! I can't wait to see it!

I'm glad you weren't feeling too run down from the night before! I briskly walked/jogged a 3K Race for the Cure one year with a great night sleep before hand and I almost collapsed at the end. I don't know what it is with me... when I played soccer I ran an average of 10 miles per game. I can do it if I'm running after something but running for a straight stretch does me in somehow. I think it might because I can't stop thinking about water or the end? (I'm probably just making excuses for being out of shape :lmao:)

I'm passing another kidney stone right now and it's horrible today. Vicoden makes me feel wrong and it isn't strong enough for the pain. It figures that when I finally have the opportunity to be on the disboards all day, I end up having colic from a kidney stone and can't hold still long enough to really get into it. Back to rest for me. I hope all of you are having a more magical day that I am. My spirits are high though! :wizard:

Wow! Way to go! I started the C25K last year and was going to run a 5K here in Simi but when the time came I chickened out thinking I wasn't ready and would be the slowest 'runner'. I am in awe of you! Maybe I'll get inspired to try my wogging again! Congratulations!

Glad you liked Alice! I thought it was just great and I would like to go see it again but I don't think I really would need to see it in IMAX 3D this time.

The purse is so cute and I loved your little Dawn memento! :cutie:

The first year Lauren and I took a road trip up to Hollywood and went to the Pantages to see Wicked ( we got same day, 1/2 price tickets for the matinee) and then went to the Soda Shop for lunch. Afterwards we got back to DLR in time to meet up with the Diva's for fireworks. It was really fun, and we both enjoyed the offsite day.

~Chris~

We saw Wicket at the Pantages too and we all loved it! I've been to the Soda Shop once when we went to a movie at El Capitan. I thought it was lots of fun! What a full day you had on your Hollywood/DL day!

I would be up for a day at the El Capitan and I would have my car. :)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I want an extra weekend day!! We are going to a friends house to watch the Academy Awards...should be fun especially since we spent all night trying to catch up and watch 3 more of the Best Movie nominees. We have now seen 7 of the 10. So at least we can boo and cheer for the winners now!

Don't you hate that tiny little fact? It drives me bananas! I'm still debating if I'm actually going to upgrade to an AP when I go in July or not. But I think I'm really leaning towards just getting PH's each time I go. Sure, I'd love the discounts and whatnot but I'd rather have the extra time to save up the money.

Happy Sunday everyone - I guess this means Monday is around the corner.

Don't tell me. I am not a fan of Mondays.

We're doing the blankets, too! Both DDs are the only ones not done yet. I have to drop them off by March 31 so hopefully not a problem.

I love the idea of going to El Cap and the Disney Soda Shoppe. Only been there once but it was cool, and seeing the stars too!

Hi Ladies. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! I haven't had time to read back but did see some talk of a Northern CA mini-Meet! :cool1: I'm all in! Has a date or location been set yet?

I think I'm getting sick. My throat is sore and my chest is very tight. :sad2: Of course it could just be from exhaustion. A certain son of mine has not been sleeping well. :sad2:

I still need to vote for the poll. I will probably have a Deluxe AP also, but if we end up with blackout dates that's okay. I like the idea of off-site activities too.:thumbsup2
