Why is it I want to go on every Diva trip!!! Still trying to figure out a way to go to Vegas ;)
You can do it! I have faith in you. Call up Chris and Leslie and tell them to come too. :thumbsup2 Road trip!!

I love all the mini meets forming.:goodvibes
ME TOO!!! I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see all these friendships forming and plans being made. :goodvibes

Just a quick 'drive-by'. I wanted to let all of the ladies from this past trip that I scanned in our picture from Mickey's Surf's Up breakfast as well as the Visa Meet & Greet Photo Op picture.
Cool, thanks Steph. Have safe travels to Seattle.

There is NOTHING stopping me this time! I will be there in 2011 or else!!!! :thumbsup2
I hope so!! I cannot wait to hang out with you.

By the way, Beth, stop untagging yourself! You're beautiful and there's no reason to do that!
:rolleyes1

Hey all, many of you on facebook already know this but my father in law was in a bad car accident this afternoon. It looks like he will be all right.
How scary. I hadn't read that yet, I haven't been on FB today. I'm glad he is okay.

I finally saw UP. Very cute. Not the best, but we laughed and enjoyed it.
Ruben finally watched it on Friday. He thought it was just okay. I agree. Maybe I was expecting too much. :confused3

Carol, so you are taking charge of the Seattle meet right? :thumbsup2

Kelly, do you want to over see the NorCal meet? :confused3

And then you can each start a new thread on the California and The West section of the DIS. We have a Vegas thread on the Vegas section for our June meet and it really does make it MUCH easier to keep track of everything. If you post questions or info here, it can get lost in the other chatter and someone might miss something, kwim?

Anyway, just a thought. :)

I am tired and off to bed. Had a fun day with the family. "Making memories" as Hannah says.

Nighty night! :cloud9:

The April date is winning in the poll. I would hate for anyone to miss the trip due to being blocked out. How many people have the Deluxe Pass?

My AP expired yesterday. :sad2: But I plan on getting another deluxe the next time I make it to DLR.

Just a quick 'drive-by'. I wanted to let all of the ladies from this past trip that I scanned in our picture from Mickey's Surf's Up breakfast as well as the Visa Meet & Greet Photo Op picture.

I hope you all are having a nice weekend and that those who are not feeling better are getting better.

I'm headed to Seattle tomorrow for the week.

Take care, talk to you all during the week.

Steph
Safe travels, master fastpass getter. You sure travel a lot.

There is NOTHING stopping me this time! I will be there in 2011 or else!!!! :thumbsup2

Ya you will!

Kelly...is there a talk of a NorCal meetup? Since I'm 10 minutes from you keep me posted!!!

Yay! This will be so fun!

Rochelle, that purse is too cute!

I'm totally up for a NorCal meet!!! I would love to do it close to the ocean...I'm having ocean withdraws.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday night. I turned every invitation to go out, so I can finally catch up on my rest from our big meet! :thumbsup2

By the way, Beth, stop untagging yourself! You're beautiful and there's no reason to do that!

Wendy, do you have any suggestions for places near the beach that aren't too far from Sac?

Hey all, many of you on facebook already know this but my father in law was in a bad car accident this afternoon. It looks like he will be all right. They took him to the ER and did x-rays and all that. He is now home with perscription for percoset and he has requested a tuna casserole (I have never made one in my life but will be getting the recipe from my mom so I can make him one!)

Besides that I am doing well and hope you all are too!

SarahMay

Oh no! I hope he's ok.

Can't wait to see you there.

You better be there next year girl! And I am looking forward to meeting up in Vegas with you too.

I plan to do all my pics tomorrow. Its been a busy week and I want to take time to get my stuff on shutterfly and to do my photopass stuff as well. Plus, I plan to start the trip report tomorrow.

Im hoping everyone else's pics are already up so I can borrow them as well.

I am so sorry to hear about your FIL. But tuna casserole? Ack. Sweet of you to make it for him though.

I finally saw UP. Very cute. Not the best, but we laughed and enjoyed it.

I'm anxiously awaiting your TR.
I haven't seen Up yet.

Girls, I had quite a bit of vodka tonight, and I am doing that 5K in the morning. :scared1: Wish me luck!!!

That is adorable!!

Adorable purse!! I love the sequins!

Rochelle, that purse is too cute!

Oh no, that's terrible! I'm glad that your dad is okay. I wish him a speedy recovery :grouphug:

My AP expired yesterday. :sad2: But I plan on getting another deluxe the next time I make it to DLR.

I'm not sure which zip code you are in, but I renewed my Premium AP last summer online through the disneyland.com website. They offer So-Cal Residents monthly payments for all the AP's. It's really cool and a great option for saving money. :) They charge me $30 a month for mine. I think the prices went up a little bit this year. The monthly fee for the Deluxe (if you are renewing) is $23.25 a month. They don't charge interest. :yay: Here is the link with all the info: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/ap/index?name=AnnualPassholderUngatedMonthlyPaymentsDetailPage

Somehow I think that Disney transcends age. I get in the park and my age disappears.
I would say yes to that. :dance3:

I was the oldest until Trudi and Shirley came along. (Thanks ladies.):rolleyes1
53 years young, and I love all the fast rides.

Pix, Cute purse!

Morning gals.

I did this big reply post on my phone last night because I went to bed early with a stupid sinus headache and then it didn't post. BOOOO!

But anyway January thanks so much for thinking of mom and YES we missed you and really hope you come next year and can't wait to see you!! I really enjoyed all our time together last year!

Michelle, yes boardwalk IS a hole LOL but hey that DQ across the street is a big hit here in town. Esp in the summer. LOVE the blizzards but hey maybe that is why I gained back 10 lbs. HMMMMM....????

And I would be happy to oversee a thread but I am so NOT computer savy. I could start one but I don't know how to do multi quotes etc or how to do a lot of stuff so I don't know if there is someone in our nor cal group that knows that stuff better but I would be MORE than happy to make one. Tina, Wendy, Becci? Let me know

And if someone makes a thread for the seattle meet please let me know so I can link up to it! Thanks! :)

Sara I am so sorry for your FIL! My prayers are with you all that he is ok!

Stac I put a copy of the Ariels pic from my camera on FB but if you guys need the code from the one we bought just let me know as I have the big pic.

Rochelle LOVE the new purse! Great job!

Well I went to bed with a nasty headache and woke up with it too! BLEH! I took some sudafed and I don't know if it was THAT or the combo of that plus my normal morning meds but I then started feeling REALLY nauseous sooo I am not sure about seeing the movie today. I am going to try and eat something soon (drinking tea right now) and then hopefully later this afternoon will be up for it. I think with my headache and stomach esp the 3D might not be so good but we shall see.

Hope everyone has a great day today and take care!!

Good luck girlie! And really, vodka is just the juice from the gods. You will be fine.

Got a pretty busy day planned. Spent the morning cleaning the bathroom and starting laundry. Have a few errands to run, and then take Tay and her friends to Laser tag for the afternoon. Plus my cousin is stopping by with his new baby. Mostly, I will be in and out and all over town . I am hoping to get something in the crock pot early, and maybe even make some yummy for dessert.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Great! I will be doing my photo pass pics today, so if its not there I will let you know. Thanks!!

Regarding the dates of our trip, I wanted to point out that the April dates will likely be blocked out for anyone with a Deluxe pass. I really don't want to upgrad to a premium, so am thinking the early March dates may be best for me. I am still waiting until tomorrow to vote. Still thinking about it.
That's good info.....I imagine people with the Deluxe AP hadn't even thought about that!! Thanx for sharing that!!
The April date is winning in the poll. I would hate for anyone to miss the trip due to being blocked out. How many people have the Deluxe Pass?
I know mom and I have a deluxe and I just looked again to make sure and for this year the only sat that isn't blocked out is the first one March 6th (today). Every other sat including EVERY sat in April is blocked out so I guess it would be safe to assume that it will be that way next year too. To me I don't mind paying the fee to be able to go to food and wine since I renew my pass in June and I won't be paying for tickets at that time BUT I know for a lot of people they may not want to do that. SOOOO I guess we will have to think about that.
I think if the April dates win, I would just pay the $40 or $45 (how much is it these days?) to go in on Saturday. That is SH day, cannot be missed.:cutie:
I think that it is possible that some of those who voted for the April dates (me) did not consider the blockout dates. I think before we decide for sure we should have more discussion about it. If we go ahead with the April dates, what if we move the SH to Friday? Then we could plan some alternate activities for Saturday, like Gardenwalk and time in DTD or a get-together at the hotel? Then those who don't want to pay the extra $$ wouldn't need to go into the park and could do F&W on Sunday and Monday. If we don't want to go with April and still wanted to stagger the dates for those who might want to get 2 trips out of one AP (me again) we could do March 3-7 next year and February 23-27 the following year, etc.

It's ok Michelle, I am 49. ;)And a few Divas are a year or two older than me.
But I would say most are in their 30's.

I don't know Linda it seems there are more of us in our 40's or older than in the 30's but I could be wrong. But again who cares. Like I said it is not the number but how you act right! :)
Mike asked me the average age of the Divas, and I said write down all the numbers between 21 and 55 and there will probably someone close to every number in age. There really doesn't seem to be a "most" but I guess 30's and 40's would surely be the most.

My kids are all teenagers. My girls are Kacy who will be 17 in less than a month, Kody who is 15, and my son Loren is 13. And I now feel so old.:lmao:
My son will be 30 this year :scared1:

Carol, so you are taking charge of the Seattle meet right? :thumbsup2
Let's just say I am facilitating getting it on the schedule. I think those who live closer will take over the actual planning; there seems to be a lot if interest! :) As of now it looks like we might try going with a weekend in August. I will get a planning thread going pretty soon.

Carol, I think this is an excellent idea. Some have discussed doing a nonDisney day before. I wouldn't mind doing something different, maybe even going to a completely different park! :scared1: Also, I love the idea of Food and Wine, and might not mind paying a little extra in order to do the extra stuff. :thumbsup2

ETA-I don't know how hard it would be to plan, but I would love a day where we go to the Disney Soda Shop, maybe catch something at the El Capitain, and just look around that area. That would be a very fun day to me!

I agree! I have been to El Cap and the soda fountain and it is REALLY fun although transportation might be a bit of a problem but me might be able to go in on some cars and have some groups rent cars for a day or something. Just a thought. But I know I def don't need to do the park EVERY day and would be up for a non-park day and doing other things. So whatever people decide I am up for.

You can do it! I have faith in you. Call up Chris and Leslie and tell them to come too. :thumbsup2 Road trip!!

There was alot of talk about going "off site" for an activity next trip. Bowling, shopping & eating at Gardenwalk, was discussed too and its walkable too. I think there are shuttles that go there too.

I love going to the Soda Shop and its always fun to throw in El Capitan depending on whats showing at the time. I know one of the metro lines runs and stops right across the street. I had friends that would take it instead of driving, so that could be an interesting idea...Diva's takeover the Goldline ;)

Hi ladies!!

I must say that I am getting a little jealous at all the talks of mini-meets. I have no Divas to meet up with.:sad2: I am like odd-girl out...we need more Utah/Idaho divas up in here.

Kelly---I get the Sudafed nausea too! I try to eat something pretty solid before taking it or else I will be laying down trying not to throw up. I hope you feel better soon!

I am still getting some homework done and just trying to enjoy my last day of my freedom before back to work. Have a good day ladies!!

I would totally meet up with you chica. Just a bit of a drive for me.

Hello Ladies,

I'm so glad that it's sunny outside and not raining anymore. I hope it stays that way. :upsidedow

I finished the blue purse I was decorating. :yay: Here is a pic:

P3070032.jpg

It's supposed to be a Pirate Princess theme. :)

Wow, Vietman/Cambodia...how cool is that! How did you decide to go there?

I've been to Vietnam before but my husband hasn't and he's dying to see the country so I told him we could go if we could add a leg to Cambodia. :)

Vietnam is amazing...if you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend it.

The first year Lauren and I took a road trip up to Hollywood and went to the Pantages to see Wicked ( we got same day, 1/2 price tickets for the matinee) and then went to the Soda Shop for lunch. Afterwards we got back to DLR in time to meet up with the Diva's for fireworks. It was really fun, and we both enjoyed the offsite day.

The bowling alley at the GardenWalk Rocks! It's like a club. I can totally see the Diva's taking it over for an afternoon/evening and going to Johnny Rockets for burgers afterwards.

I'm up for an offsite / non Disney day, but I still voted for early March for our meet.

~Chris~
