When we go to wdw in a few weeks my husband will be joining us after his conference about 3 pm. We will have used our 3 fp by then. I'm not sure what to do with his. Should I book him with us and just have him miss them. Then when we are ready for our 4 th will he be able to book a fourth also. Or does he have to actually use the first three. I guess it only matters if we are park hopping. Please help:confused3.....

That's what I'd probably do. Then they will have expired by the time he's with you and you all can try for a 4th (or more) together.

not 100% sure but I think yo uhave to use at least one of them befor eyou can get a 4th. either way, i'd book his separate and then just change his to match your 4th ones (or try to make yours the same as his 4th and beyond....)

How many of you are there? I'd book his first 3 and take turns getting an extra ride with them, and then book the 4th together when he arrives.

There will be 5 including him. I can't take his band to use it as fast pass because he will need it to get in the park. I think I will just do what a pp said and book his 3 fp for after he gets there. I don't think we will be doing much park hopping after 3

Here's a weird quirk that may apply to your situation with your DH. I just got back yesterday and one day last week I skipped the park I originally planned to visit during the day (DHS). I hadn't switched any of the FP+ reservations to another park because I didn't know which park I'd being heading to after dinner.

I got to MK as MSEP was starting and went to a kiosk in Tomorrowland to see if I could at least grab a 4th FP+ since all three of my earlier FP+ reservations had expired. Turns out, if you don't use at least one FP+, there's nothing anyone at the kiosks can do to add any FP+ reservations. Basically, the system locks out your account for the day. The CM and her supervisor said I could go back to City Hall to see if there was anything for them to do, but since the parade was going on, I wasn't going to fight Main Street crowds to see what they could do.

We were in the same situation after spending the morning in ak. There was a soft opening at 7:45 and we were able to do all our rides without our fast passes (rode Everest x 7 by 8:45. It was great.). When we got to mk our fast passes had not automatically expired as the cast members said they were supposed to. They had a manager come over and cancel them out and then we could pick a fourth one. This was at the fp kiosk at stitch.

Normally a missed FP can be rescheduled even after its window has closed. Any idea if the "lockout" prevents rescheduling one of the original three, as opposed to grabbing a fourth?

Another option may be to pre-schedule his third pass - or even all three of them - at a time after he will actually be arriving in whatever park you're all going to. Then when the rest of you are booking a fourth, he can reschedule one of his original three for the same time and attraction.

The latter sounds like it might work, provided you know ahead of time which park you're planning to hop to.

We tried to reschedule from the app on my phone and on the kiosk, neither would allow us to alter the three FP+ reservations to change the time/experience or delete them altogether.

That's good to know.

It sounds like my second idea ought to still work, though, especially if one pre-schedules all three at the "hop-to" park.

Don't know if anyone has any experience with this:

We're going to DHS in the morning and using our 3 FP's there, then heading to MK in the afternoon.
Can we book our 4th FP (for MK) from a DHS kiosk, or can we only book once we get to MK?
In other words, do the kiosks work for any park, or only the park you're in?

Thanks!

We were not able to do any additional fastpasses from our phone app even though we were told many times by CMs last week that we should be able to. If we wanted any additional FP+, we had to find a kiosk.

Using the kiosk for any FP beyond three has always been my understanding of how it works. Even when I did it last January during the test, that was how it had to be.
Hence my suggestion that scheduling the original three in the second park, so that in getting FP to match the rest of the group, they would just be rescheduling, instead of trying to snag a fourth.

Experts please correct me if I'm wrong...

OP If you know DH is going to miss your first 3 fastpass times, I wouldn't book him on those fast passes. Once he arrives and you are trying for your 4th, it'll be his 1st. As long as the slots are available, you should all be good.

Yes I just won't be able to park hop after he starts using his FP. But I don't think it's an issue.

Only the park you're in.
