DH's 40th birthday is tomorrow, and I am planning a party for him on Saturday.

I decided to do a 40years presentation, and need some help on what else to put on it.

Picture a tri fold cardboard presentation board (Like you see in science projects)

In the middle I am putting a bunch of photos, ranging from baby pictures to current new pictures, and some other milestones throughout the years.

And on one side, I have a on this date in history thing I printed out from the internet, it states on that date the world headlines, the price of bread, top songs, etc... Its one page, so I may make it into a larger font and make it two pages so more people can read it at once...

But I am at a loss what to do with the other side... I was thinking of putting images of times in history on the other side...

Or, do this (but I am concerned about fragility in this one)... In our basement, my DH has saved newspaper articles throughout the years... I found some articles about the man on the moon, (Hey I wasn't even alive yet), Phillies world series, Challenger explosion...

The articles seem to be in decent shape, but there are about 20 people coming and some are kids...

Maybe I can scan them, or whatever...

Any other ideas?

If you're worried about the articles getting ruined, don't risk it. Even if they might end up being fine, you'd be nervous the whole time. Scanning them would work, or how about even just photocopying them? That could be even easier.

Happy early birthday to your DH. :) Enjoy the party.
