So, we snagged a discounted room at AKL under the winter promotion, and couldn't be more thrilled, as DW has wanted to stay here since... I dunno... FOREVER. So that part is all good.
We usually like to eat a TS dinner on the last day at our resort so we can pack and get to bed at a reasonable hour. Since I've heard lots of good things about Boma, and booked an ADR before I looked at the menu. It's $40/adult which is a bit high compared to other buffets, but whatever. Then it hit me we have a 10yo son, who is going to be $40 for dinner. I'm still in shock.
It's not like we've never been to a Disney Buffet, so this isn't first-time sticker shock. It just seems to me that there's no way a 10yo kid can eat enough to justify that much. It's not even like there are Characters roaming around to make up for the high cost.
We generally go out of pocket for meals since kiddo is a bit picky, and may not want to order off the kids menu all the time. So we are a used to adult meal prices for him on occasion. But now I'm ready to give up all buffets until kiddo is older... Anyone else in the same boat?
