I did check with AAA and the dates in the article aren't all that accurate plus most of the popular dates are already taken. She also said we already have a lower rate anyway of $225 a night for a club room than the offer which leads me to question the validity of such a promotion.

the foyboy....just curious if you were able to get any free nights I know you mentioned they said you had a lower rate but I guess I am confused as to how these free nights come into play? Were your dates not available for this offer? I called my AAA office and they arent aware of this promotion yet Guess I have to keep looking! Booking 3 nights and getting up to 4 free sounds way to good to be true! Thanks for any info you can provide

I called my local AAA office in Hartford, CT and indicated to them what I had read in USA Today. The lady I talked to put me on hold while she checked it out. When she came back, she told me that February the 9th was already booked solid, so the promotion wouldn't work for me. I guess because it has to be consecutive stay nights.

She then went on and added that my current reservation that I already had through Loews directly was the best rate available and it was a AAA rate as well.

No, I don't have any free nights with my current reservation which is 6 nights beginning February 8 @ $225 a night for the Club Room. What I wonder is if they are just making folks pay the rack rate for 3 nights and then they get the other 4 nights free. If that's the way it is, then I doubt you'd really save all that much.

I found as well that there is a link to this rate promotion for AAA and free nights on the Uescape.com web site when you go to the hotel sites. I tried using it for my dates and it said not available, so I really don't know now if the dates on it have changed or if many of them are already booked.

Thanks so much for the reply I agree with you...if the promotion is at rack rate it wont be much of a deal. I am still unable to locate any more info than what was posted on the USA Today link. I did go to uescape website and could not locate that AAA link.

Sounds to me like your $225 rate is a good one. I would be happy with that for those dates. Is it an entertainment rate?

Funny you mentioned you couldn't find any indication of this free night promotion rate on the Universal site. It was there yesterday afternoon when I looked, but just now when I checked again after reading your message, it is gone. Wonder what happened or if it all sold out.

As for my rate, it is a AAA rate, so I am very happy. All we have to do is buy the 4 park tickets and we'll be ready to go.
