SSR Lovers and Owners Part 4

Yes - all 4 laundry rooms are near the pool areas. A request to be near the pool would be the equivalent to be near laundry - you can request anything you want, down to specific room numbers...you may not get what the request, but usually they'll work with you to try to get as close as possible to your request when you check in.
Thank you! Wasn’t sure if we could be that specific but will probably ask at check in anyway. Torn which area to request as hubby wants to be close to DS and I want to be close to main pool, lol.

Well, to split the difference, Congress Park Building 4 could be interesting - it's still in Congress Park so still walkable to DS - it's the farthest building from the DS pathway - but it's also a reasonably short walk over to the main pool, restaurants, and store as well.

Congress Park 1 & 2 are best for getting to DS, while Springs buildings will be closest to main pool.

Are there any places to refill the soda mugs apart from at the main building?

The Paddock Pool Grill (is it closed right now) and the Grandstand Pool (Backstretch) Bar have fountain drink refills when they are open, and probably the main pool bar (On the Rocks).
The Paddock has lots of options, but I think the others only had a small selection.
I think I was looking for Powerade and it wasn’t available everywhere.

On the Rocks does have a drink refill, as does Artist's Palette.

Has anyone seen anything in the last few months on the status of the treehouse refurbishment that was scheduled for this year? I can’t find anything on it.

I’m want to put in a room request for Congress Park. We will be in a dedicated 2 bdrm. Ideally; I prefer to be on a high floor [so I don’t have people overhead banging around or listening to kids running all over the villa]. I realize there is no guaranteed my room request will be fulfilled, but what the heck? Worth a try!

I have a couple of questions about how to make my request:
  1. The rooms that are 1101-1436 – is this in building #1
  2. Rooms ending in X-421 [X-821] or X-427 [X-827] – when are the rooms X-4 and X-8?
Can you help me best word this for my request? Also, if you have a specific room number, you’d recommend I’d love to hear your advice! TIA

Yes to question 1 - that would be building 1.

Re question 2 - the rooms that are 14xx are 4th floor building 1, the rooms with 18xx are 4th floor building 2. rooms with 24xx are 4th floor building 3, and 28xx are 4th floor building 4.

If you're strictly looking for 2 bedroom dedicated - you aren't necessarily getting the rooms with the best views...there are two facing Disney Springs on the inside of the building which would probably be the best overall, but they're right near the inner bends of the building and have other balconies 90 degrees from you. I personally actually prefer the lockoff 2-bedrooms, and request the 03 and 45 rooms that sit on the corners of Building 1, the 03 rooms in building 2, the 45 rooms in building 3, or the 03 and 45 of building 4 - all face Disney Springs very close to the water and there aren't other balconies or parts of the building in your view.

If you go with dedicated 2 bedrooms, I'd probably go with 21 and 27 as they do have the view towards Disney Springs and are very close to the elevators. If willing to entertain 2 bedroom lockoffs, I'd highly recommend 1203 or 1245, 1303 or 1345, or 1403 and 1445 - those end rooms in building 1 have the best views, are closest to stairs down to the pathway, are closest to Disney Springs, and being at the ends of the halls, tend to have less hall traffic and noise.

This is a very last-minute trip, so unfortunately a two bdrm lock off isn't a possibility. I feel fortunate to have put together my trip getting the dedicated two bdrm @ SSR. Plus, I love that the two bdrm lock off looks like it has an extra balcony... but that's not really an option for me at this point [better planning next time]

As I looked at the map at the beginning of this thread it did look like the dedicated two bdrms don't really have great locations within the building.

I'm sorry, I guess I'm not following what 21 & 27 represent - room numbers? I was thinking that in Congress Park maybe building 2 and 4 might face in the better direction towards Disney Springs? and of course, all of this assumes my room request is even fulfilled.

The 21 and 27 are the last two digits of the room number - so 1221, 1321, 1421 are all in building 1.

The numbers are 4 digits - the first digit is either 1 (buldings 1 & 2) or 2 (buildings 3 & 4). The second number is the floor in each building - so 1, 2, 3, or 4. Then the last 2 digits are the room number, ranging from 01 to 47 on each floor.
