4 Days enough???

In my oppinion it is just enough to get a taste for DW, but not enough time to truly experience what it has to offer. We did 4 days our first time there and were amazed at how much there is to do. we did our first day at Epcot because it was a travel day and everyone told us that it was not an exciting park especially not for young kids (what liars they turened out to be and what a mistake Epcot, with all of the walking, was to do on a day we woke up at 4:00 am). We then did a day each at MGM, AK and MK. The only park that we left without needing more time was AK. MK we only got to about half of what we wanted and MGM maybe just over half. Dont get me wrong we had a great vacation, but dont expect to do more than the "highlights" in 4 days.

We then went last year and did 2 days each at both Epcot and MK, along with one at MGM and AK each. We did not go to the park on either travel day doing Downtown the evening we got there and our hotel the morn we left. This alowed us to not feel rushed and still see everything we have on our to do list. This is what we plan to do this year and it is a comfortable trip for us (although I would do longer if I could). We plan to go for 8 days with 6 days in the park (broken down as mentioned above) and have the 7 day dining package. I cant wait.

I now go with a 4-night minimum - because there are 3 park shows at night:
Fantasmic, Wishes/spectromagic, and Illuminations.

If you want to see all 3 and something happens, it helps to have an additional night. MK is the wild card night as they now have parties and double showings, etc. Whatever you do stick to your plan for MK night ... MGM and Epcot are more predictable and fungible.

With a 4-year old, give yourself down time.

Also, you cannot see everything in 1 trip. Think of this trip as a "learning" trip so you can get the next one right.

we will be there 6 days but one is coming and one is going so really only 4 good working days. I have a 4 year old as well and we are planning 1 day at MK, 1/2 day at AK then DTD, DHS ( little einsteins are there), and then TL and epcot! Times up! We plan on getting done what we can and basically enjoying the time we do have! Have a great time and enjoy!

See and do all but hey 4 days you can have a lot of fun.Plus it will give you a chance to come back again and see what you missed on first trip.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We had five days the first time we went, and everything was fine. We didn't have a plan, we didn't have any "must-do's", we just let our 5 year old decide what to do next.

Honestly, if it's your first trip, I would make it longer if at all possible. Especially if you are going during peak season.

Check the price of 5 & 6 day tickets. I dont think adding a day is all that much in that range. Then see how late you can leave Orlando so you can get a half day or more in the parks on your travel day. You can leave your luggage with bell service and pick it up later. Spending that last morning in MK before you leave can be alot of fun. Have fun.

4 days will give you a good taste of Disney and likely leaving you wanting much much more. Just remember with 4 days you can't possibly do and see everything so dont even try.
