Can we give the porters boxes (not suitcases) to be delivered with our luggage? (if there' not too heavy and have something for the room stewards to utilize)?
Just a reminder that we have room for a couple of people on the Italy tours and would be interested in joining other small groups if there are openings. The tours are outrageous. As much for 1 as I normally spend for all, they want for just one. The only thing that makes sense is to share.
Correct - no candles. Don't know about the hanging lights. And, as for the irons - we're not allowed to have them in our rooms, but the ones in the laundry rooms are on countdown timers - so even if you leave them on and walk away - they shut off automatically after a few minutes. So, they do trust us with hot stuff - just on a very short leash

What a difference in the Med FE than the TA. I just finished doing 53 cabins and now my dining room table is covered with plastic bags with room numbers etc.
I will have to clear a space for this group. I must say I am really enjoying it. My husband keeps saying how are we going to get this stuff on the ship.
SKOI,
I just join this site so I am still learning how to use it. Could you add me to your roll call.

ST PETERS BASILICA
DRESS CODE
I had heard about a dress code for women, didn't know that it also applied to men:
Dress Code
The Dress Code is strictly enforced at St. Peter's Basilica. No shorts, bare shoulders or miniskirts. This applies to both men and women. Even if you get through security, you will be turned away by the attendants at the door. On a hot summer day, I've seen dozens of men in shorts turned away.

I'd better telll Malcolm to put away his miniskirt...
I am just curious about the reason for a two bathroom spoiling your trip. The reason is that we reserve a room with two bathroom so I could use one while my wife could use the other. Am I missing something that I should have taken in consideration?

Hi there, welcome aboard :Wave:
I think the issue is the two bathrooms are a bit smaller (each one) than the one bathroom - Corinna (dolphingirl47) preferes the larger one bathroom and sharing/taking turns(please correct me if I'm wrong
)
We have only stayed in a Cat 11 before (1 bathroom) and I had no problem, after this cruise we'll have tried both.
Thanks I'll let DH know - he has a few longer pairs of shorts
Good plan
