May I ask what the magnets are for? We are leaving on Thursday 4/17 for three days at CBR.
I am getting excited.

I saw here on the boards that some people make magnets with designs or their names on them. They put them on their stateroom door for decoration & to help find your cabin door easier.

Got our cruise docs today!!!

I am kind of disappointed, the suggested tip page is not included. Very thin booklet, since I already check in online. I can't believe how close we are!

I thought I saw the tip page towards the front of the booklet. I am going by memory, so I apologize if I am wrong.

The cruise is just around the corner. I am going on line to try and rent a car from Orlando to the port. I was on some website, can;t remember which, and cars were only about $40 for Sat into Sunday.

If you find that site again could you please let me know what company it is? We're renting a car from April 16th-20th while at WDW, then driving to port. Then we're planning on getting a rental once we get back to the port on the 24th to drive back to the airport. Right now we've reserved with Budget for about $100 for the 5 days prior to the cruise and about $50 for the one-way rental on our return. I'm always on the lookout for a better deal! Thanks!

Could you let me know if you actually have a tip page? I checked, double checked and triple checked, and it is not there.

I know I can get the info from the cruise board, but what if I wasn't on the DIS? I am going to see if it is in my online cruise docs.

OK, I got the tip guidelines from our cruise docs from 2005.

Assuming they have not changed, here is the guidelines for our cruise (in case you are missing yours also)

Prices are per person, including children

Restaurant Server: $14.75

Assistant Server: $10.75

Head Server: $3.75

Stateroom Host/ess: $14.75

Room Service: your discretion

You're not alone...... we haven't received ours either.

For those who have received them...... how were they delivered? Post Office, UPS, FedEx? I seem to recall that last year they were sent UPS.

My docs were waiting on my doorstep last night when I got home

The tip information is the 8th page in the little travel booklet. Almost looks like a ticket. The amounts have not changed since 2005.

We had a little snow today. I work a little north of Boston and had to scrape my car at lunch today.

I am SO ready for warm.!!!!

We're about 30 miles northwest of Boston, and got about an inch or so. DW talked to someone who lives just outside of Nashua, NH and they had about 5 inches at lunchtime, and it was still snowing!

Obviously we don't need out tee's & shorts since its 35 degrees here!

I am so looking forward to the warm weather on the cruise.

Hi Mommykds,

I'm almost finished packing. I've got piles of folded clothes all over my dresser too. My goal is to be completely packed by this weekend. My kids are upset as they want to wear some of their new clothes to school and I won't let them. Mean mom.

Just got our pirate dresses yesterday. My DD and I were complete geeks and dressed up to try to startle the boys when they got home. The boys just thought we were weird.

We got another 6 inches of snow last night. I can't believe it's April and our ground is still completely covered. Should melt fast and be up into the 50's by this weekend. Can't wait until we hit FL in two weeks and get to wear shorts and tanks.

I've still got more shopping to do yet. Soft sided cooler, light stroller, pirate accessories and so on.

I haven't started packing, but I am accumulating quite a pile of stuff on the floor of my closet! Everytime I get something for the trip I toss it into the pile, so it will be easy to find when packing time comes, but the pile is getting big!

Pammyjsb - my aunt and uncle live in Brookfield, WI and they can't believe the amount of snow they've gotten this year. I'm sure you are itching for some sunny, warm weather!

Oh no!!! No more snow!!!

I have to go shopping for 1 or 2 nice blouses for the dinners. I plan to wear nice pants to dinner but I am looking for some pretty tops. So far I haven't found anything.

You got that right about itching for warm weather. This winter has been unbelievable. We've been spoiled these past few years with pretty mild winters. This one has certainly made up for it. One of our friends who lives on a lake said last year he put his boat out in the lake on April 1. This year he still has 2 feet of ice on the lake. Unreal.

Now you guys understand why I started packing weeks ago!
