It is beautiful, but take the horse cart up - you will thank me. It was a fun ride and I enjoyed being able to sit back and look at the scenery. Walking back down will be easier than walking up.

Thanks for the advice. I will let my DH know. It is his thing. He has always wanted to see it. So I am just along for the ride (and the planning of course) I maybe have a touch of that OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Planning Disorder)

What else does your tour include?

We went on a tour from Munich. We also stopped at Linderhof (a King Ludwig palace) and Oberammagau (where the passion play is performed every ten years -- including 2010!).

I honestly can't remember right off the bat but I think it might be strictly Neuschwanstein because that is all DH cares about (and the price factor) I will have to look at the paperwork.

We are flying Southwest out of SD in the morning of the 8th.

Where are you guys staying Thursday night? We are staying at the Sheraton Suites at the airport. We got it for $35 on priceline. We bought it though when we did not think we were going to Epcot the next day. There is a Super Target close by though that we are going to go to that night to stock up on cases or water and other items.

Well we are using our FREE Hilton certificate and paying for one night at the property across from downtown disney. We have a car (one free day) so it ends up cheaper than the DCL transportation. We too will be stocking up on water etc. Do you have a car? If you need any assistance let us know.

We'll drive over to the port very early on Saturday morning. Tony is going to drop me and luggage off at the port and then go return the car and take the shuttle back. Do you know if I can check in without him?????

The play opens in less then a week! We head to the theatre today.

To be honest...I can't wait for the show to be over so I can just focus on the cruise!!!!

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING TO ALL. WHAT'S EVERYONE UP TO?

We are painting. Did this last weekend, finally getting rid of all of our builder white after 8 years. This empty nesting thing is quite an adjustment.
Mine keep coming home to roost I must be doing something wrong!
I should be excited to have a bedroom to make into a scrapbook/office/disney room. I have a dedicated office and my kids keep booting me out to the kitchen counter with my laptop! I think they believe the kitchen is where I belong Need to decorate with all my Ariel pins which are all on a bulletin board. Tony's goofy collection is overflowing in the closet. Hoping they have cool pins on the TA/Med. And they are all small enough to fit in our luggage!

I guess we will take our two weeks where we can get them

When you check in with a party member missing, don't you need their passport with you? (They, of course, keep their drivers license to legally drive and get in at the port entrance.)

Good day all! Just sitting relaxing catchingup on some DIS reading.

Went out yesterday and bought some Euros since the rate is at the best it's been in months. Question, will the front desk let you pay off your account in Euros and US$$$$. And if they do, does anyone know if they give you a half decent exchange rate.
I figure I'll take more than enough, and what I don't use near the end of the trip I'll apply to my stateroom balance (which is always huge!)

We still have no flight information, anyone else still waiting for theirs. I have a gut feeling DCL is having a hard time getting us home (Toronto) on the 26th.

WE just sat thru gs soccer game in this ice cold rain and they lost.. Two more games tomorrow, so I better find those umbrellas. Rain should be gone by then but who can you trust?
I like to let those weeds get a little taller, that way you don't have to bend over so far. At least they come out easier after a good soaking, right?

I would love to but we are doing it as a tour from Munich so it will all depend on them. We are spending Sunday in Munich if anyone has any suggestions of what to do for that day before we fly out.

There isn't much to do on a Sunday in Munich. All the stores were closed when I was there a few years ago. We were able to see the Klockenspiel (spelling?). BIG clock that does a "show" on the hour. The hunting and fishing museum was open. It has one display that was just WILD.

If you have transportation, you could go to Dachau (first concentration camp). We had so little time there that I wasn't able to fully feel the history and pain of the place.

I was suppose to have 3 mris done yesterday. They were doing them all at one time. During the second, I fell asleep and starting moving too much. So they woke me up to start over. Now they stuck me in the tube at 12:30pm. Just after 2pm, I started cramping up and they hadn't finished the 2nd test. I was hurting so bad they had to let me go. When my shoulders cleared the tube and had room again, I cried out in pain it hurt so much. I couldn't even raise my hand to my ear to take out the earplug.

Now, I have to go back three separate days to redo ALL the mri's. Fudge, I was hoping to get this crud done. Since I have to be somewhat sedated, I will have to take the day off work. Really aggravating.

Then today, a group didn't put the chairs back after their meeting so guess who had to stack all the chairs? boy did that do a number on my shoulder and back. I laid down on the floor to stretch out. When I sat back up - vertigo to the point of falling to the floor. My manager was kind enough to switch desk times so I would have some time to recover from the vertigo.

I hate whatever is going on in my neck/brain/whereever.
