Hi Eleasa

We are using a TA (TD Travel). Do your flights show up on the DCL websites under My Reservations? and are you flying out of Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal?

Alex, our TA received our info just today. She has forwarded it to me via snail mail. Do you go through a TA?

Eleasa

I believe this was asked a while ago, but I don't recall seeing an answer.

Does Shutters offer a service where they'll download your pictures from your camera onto a disc? And if so, any idea of cost?

Thanks
Eleasa

Yes they do ...this is from the dcl website

Another site said the cd is around $15

What's a secret porthole stateroom?

It's a Category 10 (deluxe interior) that has a partially-obstructed porthole. They used to sell them as Cat 8, but I imagine people complained that there was ship equipment outside their window. 5020, 5022, 5024, 5520, 5522, 5524.

There are also some secret verandahs, sold as Cat 7 (Navigator Verandah - usually a solid wall on the verandah with a circular cutout). The secret verandah has a slanted solid wall on one side - very little - so they don't sell it as the Cat 6 it effectively is. 6134, 6634 (I think).

My family has been in 5522 (secret porthole) and 6134 (secret verandah).

We are generating a LOT of pages.

OK....just checking...Gibralter uses British Pounds, right? So I need some of those to pay for my private excursion as well as maybe for my layover at Heathrow, right? Just checking...while I was at the bank today I checked on getting other currency......making sure DD has access to "emergency" cash while I'm gone, etc.

Yes, the currency of choice in Gilbratar is British Pounds and/or the Gibraltar Pound (I believe). You might be able to use Euros is some places, but from what I understand you may pay a little bit more.

Can someone please post the link for the Spreadsheet again? Thanks!

In case you are curious, here's how the pull-down berth works:

Your room steward will set it up the first night (while you are at dinner) and return it to the closed position during morning clean-up.

(This might be a Cat 4 with the closed Murphy Bed on the right side of the sofa & berth.)

I don't have a blackberry, but that's the same with my cell phone. Now my ipod iTouch - THAT will have to recharged constantly as I listen to music and play the games I've loaded. :goodvibes

Kristi

I will bring my iPod Touch :thumbsup2

Here is a Baby (they are called Cria) with it's mom. 3 days old

So so so soooooo Cute!

Also, add me to the list of failed scrap bookers. I started a large book for our first cruise in 2008 and it is far from finished. I wanted to complete it before this trip, but with a busy month to go, I don't think it will happen.

I can't imagine how I will fit all of (ha! ha!) the photos I take in a book for this trip.

Hi Alex, no our flights do not show up on the DCL website. We are flying out of Montreal.

Mishoe01, I would if you have one your working on. They have these great little travel bags you can buy at Michaels that keeps everything compact and in order. The stupid pixie (my fond name for the tink cross stitch) is taking forever. I have been working on it since the beginning of November! (It is a birthday gift for a friend of mine whose birthday is in May) They also sell kits that are needle threaders and thread cutters in one. My flight attendant friend said those should get through airport security with no problem and I can work on it on the way home.

I started a cross stitch of a hawk back in...... the early 90's I believe. Haven't work on it since then. It's somewhere in the back room. :lmao:

Kristi

I used to do a lot of cross-stitch, when it was in its heyday. Started in college - back in 1979 and haven't done any since the very early 1990s. Supplies used to be everywhere, including Wal-Mart; now they are scarce. I think people have moved on to scrapbooking and stamping.

Lynne

I don't even scrapbook. I tend to throw out brick-brack. Now, fabric is a weakness. I sent back a dozen or so pieces (4-5 yds each) from Hawaii.

I really enjoy making photo books on the Mac. The books have a very professional finish. And so much easier than scrapping.
