WEBSITE UPDATE:

After 2 days of "Unable to Publish, Try Again Later," I removed some pages, combined others and finally got it to print. If what you are looking for seems missing, it might just be in another place. I did take away the deck plans that showed "our" highlighted cabins - the problem didn't happen until I put those pages on the site.

It has accepted my last few saves and publications.

One more thing... Is there an unlimited WiFi pass available? If so I'm sure it is quite expensive... Would it be posibly for a group of us to get together and purchase this together and then we could make a schedule of who can use it each day at what time? Is this a possibility? I basically only use it to check emails & track my ticket sales on StubHub (I own season Mets, phillies & Yankees tickets) and have a bunch of April games for sale for obvious reasons! :woohoo:

The largest pkg is 500 minutes for $150.00, I also needed unlimited but that seemed to be the best they could do.
You can use it on your laptop via WiFi and the ships computer, it's not limited to one computer.

I've checked and double checked. Triple and quadruple checked. Then repeated. Checked multiple websites too.

We booked two GTY 11 (inside).

We have room 6544 and Dan's brother and wife are in connecting 6546

Aren't those rooms Category 6 with verandahs? Seems like there are a few other upgrades from 11's to 6's, but since we are both DCL newbies I wasn't expecting much of an upgrade. I'll probably check 30 times tomorrow to make sure I'm not dreaming.

I want to believe it, but I don't want to get my hopes up. We did book in 2008, paid brochure price, have fuel surcharges still on our bill, bought air through DCL, etc...so maybe it's real. But I keep thinking every deck plan I look at is wrong.

Melissa

This happened to us also. We booked Cat 11's and were assigned Cat 6's connecting (we're just down the corridor from you all) :woohoo:

hello aunt lynne. still learning how to use this board. im sooo excited about this cruise....this is our 4th disney cruise(my 5 year old and just myself), but would so much like to socialize with other people.

There's a possibility you will need to/want to send some personal information to someone on the DISboards, so you need to work your way up to 10 posts.

You can acheive this in a series of posts (you can even answer each question as a post to get there more quickly):

Let us know:

1. your first name (and not just mom)

2. your child's name (could it be Logan, your Best Friend Forever?)

3. hometown

4. cabin #

5. Early (we call it "Main") or Late dining

6. Whether you would like your (free) name tags to have Donald at the bottom - see mine below or no Donald.

7. Your favorite Disney character, movie, if there is anything/place on the ship that you haven't taken in that you would like to accomplish this time.

Ask anything else (in those separate posts to get you to 10) and don't be put off by wildfires that start up and are put up in a day or two. And don't be scared by the cougars - they are harmless and not known to eat small children (it's just some fun we've been having, keeping ourselves amused at our own wittiness - is that a word?)

WAHOO! We got an upgrade -- 2560 to 7534, Cat. 9 to Cat. 5. But, now we have a question. 7534 looks like it is right in between (deck-wise) the two smoking areas on the ship -- Deck 4 Promenade and the Quiet Cove/Adult pool area. DH & I are pretty sensitive to smoke. Our TA said there is another Cat. 5 on the port side that is a connecting room. Should we try to change to that room? Are we worrying over nothing?

I am about 30 posts behind, so sorry if this has been asked. And congrats to all the other "upgradees."

-- Adrienne : )

P.S. We have an AWESOME FE gift we are working on....

Those two areas are two decks up and Deck 9 has a glass wall. There's not much chance of smoke getting down to you on deck 7.

I understand you're plight because I too am very sensitive to smoke but I wouldn't ask to change because of this situation. :flower3:

hello aunt lynne. still learning how to use this board. im sooo excited about this cruise.
i just received info about the secret santa. am i supposed to email the other person to find out which cabin they are in? do we give the gifts every other day? also how do i find all of you on dis boards on the ship? this is our 4th disney cruise(my 5 year old and just myself), but would so much like to socialize with other people.

I just sent you a PM...traveling with my 5 year old son as well, we should meet up on night 1.

Just noticed that I have not mentioned our cabin numbers. :confused3

Brack Jr (brack) and Annette Cabin #6552
Brack III and Jennifer Cabin #6554

I think we like the logo with Donald and I think we have late dining but I'll have to verify that one. :thumbsup2

Isn't just having a verandah make it a possibility of issues with smoke? I too have issues with it and I worry I will have smoking neighbors - which is one reason I do not book verandahs on the onset - but will accept the upgrade because if it is an issue I can keep the doors closed and still look out the doors at the ocean. On the other cruise when we were upgraded to a balcony we did not get to enjoy it because hubby had a gallbladder attack on the cruise so we are hoping to enjoy this second chance with a balcony.

QUESTION: I have a great but large Laptop...after carrying it around for the past few days (feverishly checking my reservation) ....I am considering getting a "netbook - one of thise mini puters " for the trip ...and .... and other commutes ..I travel for work....

Do any of you have a netbook and do you like it? Can it do enough on the go
:scared1:OMG..I am on it again at WORK...I better stop this....have to PAY for excursions.

(PS I seriously LOVE this Forum...all of it...opinions, feelings and cougar comments)

How many are bringing netbooks/laptops? What are you doing on them? Surfing or work? Or will you use the computers on the ship? Will you keep up with all our DISfriends on the cruise board with a "live from the Magic" type thread? (I think we should) How many minutes are you buying? Or are you just bringing it for downloading pictures maybe?

I have been going back and forth. Bring the netbook, leave it at home. I think I finally decided to bring it. I will buy one of the packages as I surf all the time. Well, mostly play on the disboards. :rolleyes1

I am bringing my laptop. It is mostly for "blogging" our trip and to download pictures to.

I think I will do the 100 minutes. I will find internet cafes at the rest of the stops and get on the internet there.

That is cute.

You don't have to worry about smoking neighbors on one side of you.

:woohoo:  :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :cheer2: :yay: :yay:

I will be bringing my laptop. I will be doing work on my new books. Oh yeah and I think I may need it for the CO Workshop at Sea :)

my son will be bringing his Dell Mini and hubby will bring his 12 inch laptop (mine is a 17 wide screen - but you can't miss me with it - it has a big Christmas present on the outer side :) Hmmm Christmas - who would have thunk it :)

That's nothing. You should hear what I've been called at work by so-called customers (unruly, unmannered, disrepectful, no home training teens). None of which can be printed here :lmao:

Kristi

Unbelieveable, what the people doing the name calling don't seem to realize is that they are actually describing themselves :)

Dh will bring laptop he has unlimited global wireless broadband that will work at ports on TA and MED. We will download photos frequently.

Probably bring one additional laptop since we are a large family.

Kids have netbooks but we will leave them home, laptops better for watching dvds on travel home day, long flights and airport layovers.

"Live from Magic" thread a great idea :thumbsup2

ok I have decided that just maybe I am a little obsessed about packing for this cruise.

I like the idea of the over the door hanging shoe rack and have used it before BUT I hated the time it took to "pack" it with the stuff once we got there - I would rather have everything all done before hand. So yesterday I purchased a Jewelry holder that has zippered pockets and is 2 sided. So tonight I sat down and took all my items and placed them in the little pockets. While they are smaller - most of my items are small and just required dividing somethings up further into the smaller pockets but there are some larger pockets at the bottom. I think this has 60 pockets total - 30 on each side. Now this only hangs by a hanger so it will not work over the door but I decided I could hang it on the knob on the wall near the bathroom - and since it is 2 sided I will be able to get more stuff organized into it into smaller divisions and I can prepare it all before we leave and just hang it up when we get there! I do have some pockets that are still empty that I will add my makeup into when we get on board as I will need that with me before that.

I am excited and like the compactness of it and love the fact it will be all ready!
