Karen and I moved from steerage to a Cat 11, Deck 6. So far, we had cruised Deck 5, Deck 5, Deck 6. :thumbsup2

I am happy with this room - it is mid-ship (and I am prone to seasickness - I'll be wearing my patch).

I was so excited to get the $799 rate and then disgruntled when they dropped it to $699 and wouldn't give us a credit. But I wasn't willing to pay the extra $2-3K for us to sail in a higher level cabin - now we get the better cabin category + shore excursions for less than what we would have paid (we hadn't booked Cat 12 previously).

Oh, we're on the deck of the day - 6th, room 6585.

- Lynne

You once asked if Tony and I were following you and the answer is YES--We are right next door to you and Karen:rotfl2::rotfl2: 6583!!!

It's exciting to see that the stateroom numbers are available!

Our guaranteed Cat10 reservation has a Deck 7 stateroom number!

Can Disney take away an upgrade once a stateroom number is stated? We can't find any other written information about it. We also learned about unexpected fees that Disney has to include for our Disney wedding day, so we really hope the stateroom is not another case of "something we didn't see." We were planning to check out of Country Inn & Suites early Saturday to arrive at the port to pay for an upgrade (HOPING that some rooms would be available). That's still our plan B to get Oceanview.

Disney resort and cruise upgrades seem to work differently. Since we have a room number, could Disney decide to take it away when we check in?

Also, less important, does the website indicate our dining time? Or do we learn that when we check-in?

I think once you get a room number, you have that cat or better. I've read of it being changed again but never "taken away." Is your deck 7 room still a cat 10 (inside) or is it an outside? Your cat will always state what you paid for, the room number is where they put you. I have to look on the ship map to see where mine is.

You should have picked your dining when you reserved the trip. Main or late. 5:45 (ish) or 8 (ish-I can't remember exact times). I don't think it's posted anywhere unless you booked with DU-then it's on their website, I think. Someone will correct me, I'm sure...

Look at the number of pages the group typed in the past 12 hours...

Yes, we talked to Disney last night after getting our upgrades  and they said that anything could still change until the actual travel documents are printed. However, imho, it would be extremely bad p.r. to downgrade someone even after an unexpected upgrade - fine to switch cabins or further upgrade:lmao:, but terrible to take it away

Gotta say, ever since I got of lurker-dom, I've been wanting to participate in discussions more. But frankly, by the time I catch up on the threads, my time's up - you guys set an amazing pace :worship:

Anyhoo, please sign up for MICKEY TAG. We're now in cabin #8508

btw, I think they upgraded groups first (we are 4 cabins). Makes sense logistically. I never thought we'd get upgraded since there are so many of us. What a totally awesome surprise when I checked :banana::love::banana: But it does seem that those who got upgraded early had more than one cabin....

I go away for a few days (birthday get-away) and return to over 20 new pages! Whew! Drama, Chaos, and Mayhem! (And that was just me trying to find SM gifts this weekend). Seriously, this is harder than I expected, but a whole lot of fun. And I haven't even thought about FE gifts yet. Better get crackin'.

LYNNE, DH and I will participate in TAG.

We both think the idea of a Meet & Greet with the crew sounds great, and we'll participate in group events. We're both a little shy about making fools of ourselves (it comes soooo easily!), but we love to laugh and have a good time.

If we don't get a cabin assignment soon, I think hubby's going to lose it! Congrats to all who are getting those fabulous upgrades to make room for us in steerage. Enjoy!!!

Woohoo first time in 14 cruises that I have gottme an upgrade!!! Booked a 12 got a 9!!

:woohoo::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
I GOT MY ROOM ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!! (SORRY FOR YELLING CANT HELP IT)

I got one! I can't believe I got one!....thanks to all of you who got upgraded to veranda's (and made room in oceanview) Because I was bumped from 11gty to a deluxe oceanview stateroom! (says room is a cat 8 in 2010 and a cat 9A in 2011 LOL)....

(Rm. 5008 by the way Lynne) Still blessed to be going....now blessed with a bigger room

and yes cougar tag has rules ...but I defer to the cougar queen to make them:rotfl:

We just got our room assignments. We booked 4 category 12's and ended up with 4 category 9's all on deck #2. I have only ever cruised on decks 7 & 8 so I am a bit nervous about being all the way down at the bottom of the ship. I have really never needed to use the elevators before.

~Ingrid

We've only ever been on decks 1 or 2, We enjoyed those decks they were quiet and it is easy to get to where ever you need to go. We did make a habit of using the stairs though, Too much to eat.:rotfl:

The only time I have ever tried to use the elevators was on the EB PC and they were always packed!!! I look forward to the extra exercise and perhaps with less cruisers I'll be able to squeeze into the elevator on occasion.

Well, we got ours and I'm delighted and puzzled all at once...we went from level 12 gty to level 9 (room 2528) which is absolutely wonderful! But my husband is in a wheelchair. Our TA said that since they don't offer level 12 HA's, it's a pretty good bet that we would be upgraded at least to an 11 HA. Weird, huh? Especially since they are giving out the HA staterooms. Oh well, we weren't counting on HA anyway.

Good luck to any who haven't heard yet!,

Just checked and FINALLY got a cabin. Booked 12 GTY and only got an 11, but that's ok with us. Just happy to know where we'll be living...6051 (yes, another deck 6...party on!).

Just got home from playing in Las Vegas for a few days, wow, lots to get caught up on!

My Cat 12 is now a cat 11. Not much of an upgrade, but I'm happy with this. I was able to save money by changing to a cat 12 just before paying in full, and still have my original "cheap" airfare, so while I wouldn't have turned down a better upgrade I am happy with the location and to be still sailing with you all ;)

Dee, we're neighbours :thumbsup2 I'm in 6137.

I would inquire about it, clearly all the HA rooms on the ship couldn't be booked solid as we are not handicapped requiring and were given one without requesting it, you know?

I just booked my hotel for the night before I fly to FL :cool1: I live 2 hours from the airport and my flight leaves at 6am so I didn't want to have to leave home at 2am.

It's getting closer :dance3:

Ann, have you considered having your TA ask for a HA anyway? You may get bumped up again. Asking is free! ;)
