Room 6135. No upgrade...and yet I keep playing the lottery :sad2:

We were Cat 11 GTY and I just checked. It says Standard Inside Stateroom Category 11, #6110, but when I look on the ship map, it says "Deluxe stateroom with Verandah". I prefer to believe the latter! Am I wrong?

You are right. That is how all of our upgrade have been listed too. The room number is the upgrade, but it still lists the description of the room cat. you booked. Congrats!

I saw we use THIS for the STATEROOM TAG. It *will* be noticed!

<<TASTINGS>>
If you previously notified me of possible interest in any of the Tastings ... and you have been upgraded to a different cabin ... please shoot me a PM with your stateroom number. Likewise, if you were listed as a GTY, and now know your stateroom number ... shoot me a PM.
:thumbsup2

...I have only ever cruised on decks 7 & 8 so I am a bit nervous about being all the way down at the bottom of the ship. I have really never needed to use the elevators before.~Ingrid
---It's okay, they have user-friendly instructions inside the elevator, with BIG buttons with easy to read numbers! LOL!
:rotfl2:

we booked 3 cat 12 gty and 1 cat 10. just checked today and the cat 12s were given cat11 on deck 6. i was hoping for at least a cat 10.

but no upgrade for our cat 10. :sad1: but still hoping for an upgrade at the port:)

Our family got another upgrade!

(Mrs. Gumdrop) MIL Montinne & FIL Tom -- Now in 7014

Michelle and Lynne can you please update? Thanks!

This has been a wild 24 hours!

Okay I'm just goin' to say it once ( I really will try not to go on. . .) and then that will be it 'cause my Mama taught me

"you git what you git and you don't pitch a fit"

I booked a Cat11GTY (actually wanted a specific room but transferred from the WBTA and no choice of rooms available. . .)

I am in a Cat11 on Deck5 UGH! I do not have any kids with me this trip yet I am right by the clubs?????

At least we are AFT and near the BV Theater.

And the wait is over. . .

ok back to trip planning. . .

So ever since last night, every time I'm on the user CP and click "Go to first unread post" I am taken to some random post I've already read...and it stays stuck there every time I come back. Anyone else encountered this problem?

OK, I booked a cat 12GTY and I got (drum roll......) a cat 11!!!! I guess I can't complain cause I AM sailing solo. I wanted to try an inside cabin to see if 3 of us would fit so I guess this is the perfect opportunity! Oh, room 6089. At least I'm down the hall from you, Dee. I just realized you said you're on the 6th floor, Dee. That is not a cat 12, it's an 11, if it's an inside room. You got pixie dusted a little bit, too!

Connecting rooms 1068 and 1066!! from a 12 to a 9!!
Thank You gods of Disney!!
Lil' nervous about a 1st floor but I am sooo NOT complaining!!
You cruisers are stuck w/me forever NOW! :cool1:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That had me laughing out loud at work. That was great.

I'm on the 6th floor too...welcome neighbor :yay:

We booked 2 Cat 12's and got 2 cat 9s - mid/aft of deck 2 - side by side but not connecting. So happy for the pixie dust.

Did get the room # this morning, #6000. It is a HA, which does seem to have some nice perks in being bigger and the bathroom larger/roomier but does loose the sitting area/couch. I saw the pics of it on the stateroom virtual tour, have any of you stayed in this room? Thoughts?

Looks like we'll be neighbors.....unless...

We got our room too......all the way forward :scared1: - a sideways cat 11.
I'm nervous!! I get motion  easily....should I call and see if they can get us more midship?? JACKIE!!! whatcha think??

I think if you want to call and try, you should. While I like the idea of the sideways 11, we don't want you green the whole trip. Maybe you should call Cheri or Ian and see how they felt 'motion wise' on the September cruise. :confused3

Remember, I'm the receipent of good cruise weather karma, so we should be having fabulous weather.......just saying..... Unless we have more than one cruise-mate with bad weather mojo! :lmao:

Your reservation with always show the catagory you purchased. The stateroom number will reflect where they've placed you.

It looks like attack of the Disboarders on deck 6. Well at least we know where the party floor is going to be!:cool1::banana: So much for getting any sleep on this cruise!:sad2::goodvibes

Karen and I moved from steerage to a Cat 11, Deck 6. So far, we had cruised Deck 5, Deck 5, Deck 6. :thumbsup2

I am happy with this room - it is mid-ship (and I am prone to seasickness - I'll be wearing my patch).

I was so excited to get the $799 rate and then disgruntled when they dropped it to $699 and wouldn't give us a credit. But I wasn't willing to pay the extra $2-3K for us to sail in a higher level cabin - now we get the better cabin category + shore excursions for less than what we would have paid (we hadn't booked Cat 12 previously).

Oh, we're on the deck of the day - 6th, room 6585.

- Lynne

It's exciting to see that the stateroom numbers are available!
Look at the number of pages the group typed in the past 12 hours...

Well, we checked our account... incredibly cautiously. I swear I had the same anxiousness when we booked our wedding date. I hugged a stuffed monkey sitting next to my keyboard.

Our guaranteed Cat10 reservation has a Deck 7 stateroom number!

Can Disney take away an upgrade once a stateroom number is stated? We can't find any other written information about it. We also learned about unexpected fees that Disney has to include for our Disney wedding day, so we really hope the stateroom is not another case of "something we didn't see." We were planning to check out of Country Inn & Suites early Saturday to arrive at the port to pay for an upgrade (HOPING that some rooms would be available). That's still our plan B to get Oceanview.

Disney resort and cruise upgrades seem to work differently. Since we have a room number, could Disney decide to take it away when we check in?

Also, less important, does the website indicate our dining time? Or do we learn that when we check-in?

We've stayed on 2 before and it's fine. We're in 9's on Deck 2 as well this time. I think it is great. You just take the elevator up---no problem!

We just got our room assignments. We booked 4 category 12's and ended up with 4 category 9's all on deck #2. I have only ever cruised on decks 7 & 8 so I am a bit nervous about being all the way down at the bottom of the ship. I have really never needed to use the elevators before.

Yes...they could change your upgrade again. So get excited (but cautiously).

Did you find out just now Yvet?
When did you book?

We found it out just minuts before posting.
We booked this cruise the first day that it came out.
We transfered to a cat 12 when the cat 12's came out (somewhere in November i believe).
It's okay that we have a cat 12 room we hoped or better said wished for more but 12 is okay with us....
