We stayed at POP for the 3rd time 5/12 - 5/21/05. It was our 3rd trip on our AP's & a trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We really love it at POP & think it's a great value for the money.

We stayed in the 50's section, jukebox building, 4th floor, facing the lake. It was a little further of a walk than when we stayed in the Tramp building, but closer to the parking lot, which worked well the night we loaded up the rental car to check out. It is also nice & quiet over there. :)

Mousekeeping was good this time, but not as great as last time. One day they came too late, so we just asked for towels - no big deal. We also got spoiled in January with a mousekeeper that left us all kinds of cute towel creations. :teeth:

Food court was great as usual - definitely got our money's worth out of our refillable mugs. Had a breakfast here & a couple lunches/dinners, too. Food is always good here & a good value compared to some of the other Disney options. We enjoy eating here a couple times throughout the trip to save some money. We enjoyed a drink at the lounge next to the food court Sunday night when we visited with some friends that just moved down to the area. I enjoyed the frozen strawberry margarita. :)

It was hot enough to swim daily throughout our trip. Hubby & I agree, though, I don't think there's anyway that the pools at POP are heated. They were very cold all week & they felt just as cold in January - when we didn't swim a single day. The pool temperature doesn't compare to when we stayed at the All Star Movies or the Polynesian - those were nice & warm.

We were surprised for our anniversary, we received a small balloon bouquet attached to a card with a signed photo of Mickey & Minnie riding Dumbo wishing us a "Happy 5th Anniversary!" It is really cute & will definitely go into my scrapbook! :)

Overall, another great stay at POP - no complaints. We will definitely return to POP in the future, but are also looking forward to checking out some other resorts some day. I'd be happy to answer any questions! :)

I disagree about the pools - I'm positive they are heated. We were at Pop from 1/13=1/18 when it was only in the 50's. We used the pool everyday which was so nice and warm - you could even see the steam rising from the pool - and i'm a big baby about pools - they have to be warm, even in the summer.

I was there in November and I'm sure the pools were heated. I swam every night when the temp was only in the low 50's and the pool was warm.

I love Pop too and just booked my second stay there! :)

I am glad to hear you had a nice stay...since we will be staying there for 3 nights in August (5 nights at Poly), it is always nice to hear when people enjoy the place. I am wondering how to get those wonderful towel animals....I wonder if we should leave a note to Mousekeeping that we have 2 children (DS 11 and DD 10) or do you think they know by what things are in the room..ie..favorite stuffed animals along for the trip etc.....last time we stayed at ASMo and mousekeeping was sooo cool, the person would arrange "the guys" (Mickey and Pluto) watching TV, looking out the window etc...it was great and the kids absolutely loved it!!!!..we never got towel animals, but just arranging "the guys" was way cool...looking forward to the strawberry margarita....where the prices for drinks exceptionally high???..thanks again

We were there 1/21-1/31 - maybe the heater was broken that week? ;) We didn't see any steam from the pool (and we've seen this from other resorts.) It must just be our bad luck, my MIL stayed at POP in April of last year & she says it was heated at that time - she won't go in unless it's like bath water. Many people around us were commenting on how cold the water was when we were there 2 weeks ago. Maybe they don't heat the water once it is hot out? Not sure, just pretty sure it wasn't heated from 5/12-5/21. :)

Not sure how to get the towel animals - we didn't request them. We were staying on the 4th floor of the 50's Tramp building, facing the lake when we received the animals. Many other rooms in that area had them in their windows, too. It may depend on which mousekeeper you get. Not sure about the drink prices - our friends bought them. Hubby & I got a beer from the food court a couple times and they weren't too bad (for Disney prices.) I believe we got the 16 oz Budweiser bottles for $4.25 or $4.50? Corona's were less (maybe $3.75) but only 12 oz. HTH! :)

Glad you had a great time.

Pop is my favoriate resort. I love the place.

Going Back this August and I can't wait.

What kind of food did you eat at the food courts? Was the frozen drink machine working? I have been reading it's always broken.

Also, how was the bus service to the parks?
