We stayed at POP for the 3rd time 5/12 - 5/21/05. It was our 3rd trip on our AP's & a trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We really love it at POP & think it's a great value for the money.
We stayed in the 50's section, jukebox building, 4th floor, facing the lake. It was a little further of a walk than when we stayed in the Tramp building, but closer to the parking lot, which worked well the night we loaded up the rental car to check out. It is also nice & quiet over there.
Mousekeeping was good this time, but not as great as last time. One day they came too late, so we just asked for towels - no big deal. We also got spoiled in January with a mousekeeper that left us all kinds of cute towel creations.
Food court was great as usual - definitely got our money's worth out of our refillable mugs. Had a breakfast here & a couple lunches/dinners, too. Food is always good here & a good value compared to some of the other Disney options. We enjoy eating here a couple times throughout the trip to save some money. We enjoyed a drink at the lounge next to the food court Sunday night when we visited with some friends that just moved down to the area. I enjoyed the frozen strawberry margarita.
It was hot enough to swim daily throughout our trip. Hubby & I agree, though, I don't think there's anyway that the pools at POP are heated. They were very cold all week & they felt just as cold in January - when we didn't swim a single day. The pool temperature doesn't compare to when we stayed at the All Star Movies or the Polynesian - those were nice & warm.
We were surprised for our anniversary, we received a small balloon bouquet attached to a card with a signed photo of Mickey & Minnie riding Dumbo wishing us a "Happy 5th Anniversary!" It is really cute & will definitely go into my scrapbook!
Overall, another great stay at POP - no complaints. We will definitely return to POP in the future, but are also looking forward to checking out some other resorts some day. I'd be happy to answer any questions!
