$31 rental for a double stroller.

So up until now I was entertaining the idea of occassionally renting a double stroller for my 2 daughters (ages 8 and 6). While I realize that this practice is wildly criticized- it's worth it to me, or at least it WAS worth it to me to give them a little rest and maintain my sanity. But given the huge price increase they will now be walking their behinds all over the World.

It means you pay the length of stay rate everyday for your whole trip. So if the length of stay rate was $13 you would pay $52 if you were there for 4 days.

Yes, plus tax (I think). If your trip is 4 days but you will only be in the parks for 3 of those days you will only pay for 3 days. It is up to you!

Don't feel bad! Those are the exact ages of my kids that I was going to rent for. It really helps extend the day!!

This is TOTALLY insane. I've put up with all sorts of increases across the board at Disney but this is just highway robbery. $31 a day for a double stroller. So for our 9 day trip, we'll pay $243 ?? I think we should all boycott Disney strollers. Buy your own if you must for your trip. It would be way cheaper in the end....even for a double and you'd be able to KEEP it. I think all this will do is cause some people to take others strollers when they're unattended b/c I definitely think alot of people won't be paying these prices. I don't mind spending money on the overpriced dining, souvenirs, etc., but to price strollers like this???? RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This IS ridiculous! I was balking at paying the previous price for the double-stroller for our next trip - there is no way I'm paying this new price. I can't believe they raised the price that much.

Whats sad is I wonder how many park strollers will be stolen now from paying guests. Towards the end of the day when people who dident rent or bring one have tired kids and realize how expensive renting one will be, I sure you will see one more then one occasions people reporting their strollers missing.

not that it will make a difference but i just dropped them an email expressing my disgust over the increase. how exactly do they expect families on a budget to continue to be able to visit WDW with increases like this. And I have no plans of having to buy a double stroller b/c i will never use it. I would have understood a small increase but $13 ????

I hope this is a typo. For next trip this October our DS will be 5 and DD will be 2. I plan to bring our own stroller for DD, but was going to rent one for DS. He never uses a stroller at home, but I feel that with all the walking at WDW an occasional break (ride) in the stroller is best for everyone! You parents know what I mean. I could bring our other umbrella stroller for him, but he's a pretty tall 5 year old and I think he's too big for it. The Disney strollers are better a size for him. The other problem with bringing two strollers from home is that you have to carry two strollers on the buses! Not fun. Not sure what we're going to do about renting one now. $104 for an 8-day rental is quite a big chunk. What is that other place that will rent a stroller and drop and pick it up at your resort? abbf . com I think. Might be looking into that now...

Yes I can see this happening. Expecially if someone only wants a stroller for a few hours at the end of the day. There should be a lower price to rent a stroller after a certain time like 5:00 pm.

You can rent 2 single strollers for length of stay for cheaper than 1 double stroller length of stay!!! This is why I am praying this is a typo!

The double stroller rental cost is $31 dollars a day UP from $18 per day Really $13 per day is NECESSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK rant over!!!!

Ok, so maybe it's time for a "stroller swap" in the same way that there are now all these fridge swaps?

At $31 a day, you'd pay for a decent quality double stroller in a week.....so why not buy one, use it and then pass it on to another family for a small fee until it's paid for like the fridge deals?

At first I thought this was a late April Fool's joke.....I cannot believe that Disney has increased the double stroller rental to $31 from $18.
How do they possibly expect people to pay that for a week?
That is almost as much as one day's admission for a child.
