3 Questions - Anyone on 8/24?

1.)What dinner rotation am I most likely to get with a 6 yr. old and 8 yr. old?

2.) Right now I have a category 4 booked but am wait listed for a category 3. Does anyone have any idea how often wait lists actually come through?

3.) Is anyone else sailing on the 7 night Eastern on 8/24?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, KAMLEM1! I can't give you any answers to your first two questions, but I wanted to give you a shout to let you know that my DH and I will be on the 8/24/2002 7 day Eastern Carribean Cruise, too! This is our first cruise and it will coincide with our 5th wedding anniversary!

Can't help with the rotation question.
But I am sailing on the 8/24 cruise with my daughter,her husband and 2 grandaughters (ages will be 9 and 1 yr). We have a cat 3 and were putting on the waiting list from a Cat 4. It took about a month to get the confirmation that we had gotten the Cat 3.. Of course this was back around Thanksgiving. It was king of funny because 2 Cat 3's became available at that time. I would suggest making sure your TA checks as often as possible to see if any become available..Ours called almost every week.

I booked with AAA. I have to admit I did check several places before I went with AAA. We are members of AAA and walked in with the prices from other places, and AAA matched our lowest price and took a additional $100. off. After we booked we did switch from 2 Cat 4 to 1 Cat 3.(2 family members dropped out).
I still believed I got a great price for the Cat 3. and of cousre now they offer the free soda mug. In our case this is another great savings since its 4 x $35.00.
One other thing I did not know about this board or Dreams Unlimited. So I'm sure for our next cruise I will get a quote from them too.

Only 202 days till 8/24/02 cruise!!!!!

My husband & two daughters (8 & 10) and our friends with their son (12) & daughter (10) are going on 8/24! When are you all flying in and are you staying somewhere (if so, where) before the cruise? I cannot wait! We are in a cat 6 and looking forward to the verandah!

We will be flying in the day before and arriving in Orlando around 10:00 am. We decided to stay at the Radisson since it is the closest to Cape Canaveral. I heard the pool is nice so we'll just spend the day relaxing. We could have flown in on the 24th since our flight gets in at 10:00 am but I would worry too much about delays. How about you - are you coming in a day early? I was wondering whether most people do this or not.

We are flying in on the day of cruise..We leave Newark NJ @ 7am. It's a bit early for me, but I'll rest and relax on cruise.
One of my grandaughters will be 9yrs old, Maybe some of the kids will get to meet each other. My grandaughter is looking forward to going to the kids club..In fact that is all she talks about when to bring up the cruise.

I'm hoping my kids make some friends, I think it makes a big difference for them. I know that my kids won't want to participate in the activities if they don't know anyone. They are both incredibly shy.

We are also on the 8/24 cruise. Me, DW, DS(10) and DD her 8th burthday will be on departure day. We are staying the night befor at the Raddison and the week before at WDW at BWV. We would love to bve involved in a Dis meet and meet you all.

That sounds like quite a vacation. Two weeks in a row is the best. In May, we are doing two weeks-the first at OKW and the second at BWV. I have never stayed at OKW but I'm sure we'll like it. A meet would be great, that way the kids would meet each other ahead of time. M & K's Parents - are you DVC members?
