Hi all,

Who has done a 3 night cruise on Utopia and what is the atmosphere like? Is it a "party ship" like some say or just your normal cruise? We have never cruised before and wanted to try a small cruise and incorporate it with Universal this February for my husbands 50th. We won't have kids with us but we are not big party people either.

Thanks!

We went on a 4 nt Utopia of the Seas in April, staying in a Sky Junior Suite so got access to Suite Neighbourhood, Concierge, Coastal Kitchen etc. Whilst there certainly are areas of the ship that are lively, we didn’t feel that we couldn’t escape it if we wanted but this was obviously helped by having Suite Neighbourhood access. The ship is enormous, epic and incredible and we will definitely sail again on her at some future point, with or without our late teen kids.

We have done a few of the 3-night cruises on Utopia. We live local so it's easy for us to do these short sailings. I didn't find a big "party" atmosphere. It was just a fun 3-night cruise.

Did the 4 night.

Is it more of a party atmosphere than other cruises, especially royal Caribbean? Yes. Is it easy to avoid, also yes.

I'm not a party person at all and didn't find it over the top. Midday afternoon at the pool deck gets a little crazy, but can just head to the adult only area and it's much quieter.
