3 little boys, 2 new parks to explore & 1 first time onsite & ddp!

Hello all. SO sorry again for my absense. Life is generally quite busy around here in the summer and the last few weeks have been especially busy as it looks like we might be taking in my 16 year old niece. Anyway, I am trying to get prepared to make my ADR's on Monday:cool1:but I'm a little worried about how to do it. The bad part about going at the end of one month and beginning of another is the way they put out the park hours. So far I only have the hours for the first 3 days of our trip (end of Sept.) and have 7 more days after that to try and plan(beginning of Oct. isn't out yet). If anyone has any suggestions on how to plan for this kind of a situation I would REALLY appreciate it as I am starting to freak out about it. Thanks for any help

when I made mine- I had called the day before and they took ALL of them! I was a little worried, but I got everything and everytime I wanted... you should try it!!

Hey Jordan! So glad to see you are still here. I'm working on a mini update now.

Good luck Monday!! I'll keep my fingers crossed you get what you're looking for!!!! :goodvibes

Hey! Thanks for wishing me luck. I hope I can figure it all out by then.

when I made mine- I had called the day before and they took ALL of them! I was a little worried, but I got everything and everytime I wanted... you should try it!!

I did hear that they should take all of them ok but I'm just worried about whether or not I should change some of them because without knowing the park hours for all of the days I'm not positive if I should keep the parks on the days that I had them:confused3 I don't know. I guess I'll just make them and we will have to adjust accordingly.

I figured while I was waiting to make my ADR's I would post some pics from this past weekend. Jerry actually had 5 days off in a row so we got in some good family time. We had a garage sale, a bday party to go to and then we went to a place called Funcity for the first time. It is an hour from our house and this was our first time there. We had a lot of fun and WILL be back. They have a big waterpark, an arcade, go karts, etc. We went on Sunday to spend the day there because we thought Jerry had to work the next day. We found out right before going to bed that night that he had two more days off so we decided to go back on Monday night and spend the night there. We did the waterpark again on Monday and the arcade/go karts on Tues. morning before we left. I have a lot of pictures and some of them are kind of crappy because they are pics of pics. I took them with a waterproof camera and our scanner isn't hooked up right now. Anyway, I hope I haven't bored you too much and don't overwhelm you with these pictures.

Saturday morning my mom and I were having a garage sale and Dylan and Blake were going fishing with their grandpa.

don't know if you can see very well here but at the bday party for my older niece the younger one was running around with Cole and went to fall. She put her hands out to stop herself and it was the hot grill we had cooked on earlier. OUCH! Might I add that the dads were out there supervising when this happened, lol. She only touched it for a second but ended up with little blisters on every finger.

This is what Dylan did about 10 minutes after we got there. His foot slid off a rubber mat sideways and this is what happened. Needless to say we had to go and immediately find the first aid area.

We brought our lunch to the hotel to eat and then I stayed in the room and put Cole down for his nap while the big boys went and got in as much as they could in an hour and a half and then they came back and I went with the boys for an hour while Jerry stayed with Cole.

These are the ones that are pictures of pictures that I took with a waterproof camera.

Cole with daddy on the lazy river, we were on a double tube. There is a part towards the end that you can go under a waterfall and every time we would get close to it Cole would cover his eyes.

Dylan had already gone on "the steep slide" while I was with Cole in the room and now wanted Blake and me to try it. Blake went a little bit a head of me. That little blur on the orange slide is me,lol. BTW, I only ended up going once because I said I felt like I had gotten an enema(?) after going down this thing, lol. When you hit the water at the end it was pretty sudden and you definately got an instant wedgie, lol. Oh, well, it was fun

finally, daddy decided to go.

That is all the pics I have from the waterfall. I am going to invest in a waterproof digital camera (just a cheap one) so that I can take more pics and better ones at pools and such, especially when we go to disney!!

We went to Pizza hut to grab a bite to eat after we finished at the waterpark and took showers. Then we headed back for some rest.

we decided to go through Nauvoo on our way home and here is a pic of the Temple. I believe that is what they call it (the Mormans)

Had to stop at their yummy fudge shop in Nauvoo
Cole picked this out...reminds me of Goofy's (chocolate covered marshmallows)

Dylan got a marshmallow thing too

CONTINUED.....

this pic didn't show up in the last post because I had too many images

06-20134.jpg

this is what I can only describe as a mansion on our way home from Nauvoo. It looks so out of place. It is amongst these "normal" houses on the Mississippi river in a small town. We here that it belongs to a lawyer or doctor from Chicago who built it there so he could be closer to the temple (Morman) and because it was cheaper....like that appears to be a problem for him,lol

Ok, that is all for now. I'm sorry I overloaded you with pics but, hey, I was due right?!

Just figured I would post some pics I took the other day of the stuff we have for disney as of then.

These are Dylan and Blake's journal's from the last trip.
06-12013.jpg

They are just filled with different games, puzzles, coloring pages and journal pages I printed from online.
06-12014.jpg

some essentials. Water squirting fans I got at Walmart on clearance before our last trip for $1 a piece, dollar store rain ponchos, tide for laundry, some wipes and a door stop for added security at the hotel.
06-12012.jpg

some more activity books for the road from the dollar store
06-12011.jpg

stickers from the dollar store and Cars kleenex's sent from a fellow diser!!
06-12010.jpg

06-12009.jpg

These things will go in goody baskets that I will make up and leave in our room for the first night there.

Cars yo yo's for all, Cars skate boards for Dylan and Blake, Cars bubbles for Cole and Cars water ball to share. All from the dollar store of course:thumbsup

Ok, so these are the things I have accumulated so far. Actually there are a few more things i have gotten since taking these pics that I will post soon.

Funcity looked like a GREAT time! I loved all the pictures, thanks for sharing! The pic of all your boys lined up at the car arcade games is the best. :thumbsup2

Don't you just love the Dollar Store? Ours here isn't too bad either when it comes to random Disney stuff. The Target Dollar Spot often has stuff too that I pick up. I think those goody bags and the travel bags are really great-the boys are going to be thrilled. I should do a similar thing for Henry for the flight...keep him entertained a bit!

Thanks for saying you liked all the pics, I really like the one of the boys all lined up too. I do LOVE the Dollar Store. It just thrills me when I go in and find the random Disney things. I also really love Target, it is my favorite store but unfortunately I don't get there very often. The closest one to us is a little over an hour away. They have put up every other store around here but still no Target :sad1:

Ok, tomorrow is the big day.....ADR day:cool1: As stated before though i am as nervous about it as I am excited. It just really bothers me that I don't know the hours for most of our trip yet. I'm assuming the Oct. hours should be out on Weds. the first of July. I don't think I should wait until then though for the ADR's since Monday is when I can actually make them. Can anyone help me with this??:confused3 Also, can someone tell me what time the lines actually open (in Florida time and then I'll figure out what time that is here)?

Thanks a lot everybody.

those are some great buys.. Don't you just love buying for disney ...

OH Thank you for the idea on the Pez dispensers..

They kids waste their SC on them all the time but if i get some at the Dollar store we could use those SC for something wayyyyy Better ...
I'm heading to the dollar tree tomorrow!!!

OH MY GOODNESS. That was stressful:eek: I just got off the phone from making my ADR's. I was up until 1:30 in the morning making final adjustments and making sure I knew what I wanted. Then set my alarm for 7 a.m. sharp and didn't think about the fact that Florida time is an hour earlier than here:confused: I had a 35 minute wait when I called:scared1:I finally got someone to answer and then found out that a few of the ones I wanted were already gone on the days I wanted:sad1: so I had to try and come up with something spur of the moment. I guess I wasn't as prepared as I thought. Then when I got off the phone I realized I had forgot one so I called back to get it and looked over the other ones real quick first to try and adjust them better. Luckily I only had to wait 12 minutes that time. ANYWAY, I'm going to sift through all the chicken scratch now and see what I actually ended up with and will hope and pray it will all work together and that I have the right amount of TS and CS meals. Once I sort all that out I will post what I came up with. I just needed to vent first because I think I have stressed myself out on this way too much, lol.

Ok, a quick side note. I got most of the ADR's I wanted but I do have one main problem with them and one more problem since I have learned the park hours for October finally. If things stay as they are...I wasn't able to get breakfast at Crystal Palace:sad1:I was only able to get lunch. Which of course means no empty park viewing for us:sad1::sad1: Also, on the days we have planned for DHS(and ADR's made accordingly) there is no Fantasmic:sad1:

So, my question is....how much am I really missing by not seeing the park empty in the morning and by missing Fantasmic?? I might be able to do them but it would require a lot more planning and headaches to figure it out. Should I leave well enough alone and not stress or are they worth it and I should try harder for them. The Fantasmic might be more doable than the CP because if I really wanted to I could try and move up one of our ressie's at DTD on our off day and be at DHS at 8 for Fantasmic. It would only cost us about $6 more to add another days ticket however, DHS closes at 8 that night so how stupid would that be?

Anyway...any opinions?? I could really use them.:flower3:

Oh my goodness. Did you hear about the monorail crash this morning that killed a cast member? That is so sad. Crazy to hear and a little scary I must say. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the young man who was killed.
