Omg Rosie! I swear my blood pressure went up just reading that! It makes me very scared to think of how things are run when you aren't there

Oh, my staff are awesome , it was just bad luckand as we only have 1 midnight person and she doesn't drive , I had to take her in!!I try to avoid calling an ambulance as that costs the Taxpayer money. Our dear Jeantte is raisinf havoc on her floor She keeps pressing the call button to go to the bathroom, and they have to assist her as she has a neck brace !!She hates going to the ER , let alone be staying there I have a feeling the nurses will be encouraging her Doctor to get her out really quick !!The social worker called me today to clarify some things and said I made sense of what Jeanette was saying !! I am sooo glad she called me and not her sister , cuz we worry about her , she has dementia and is VERY confused !!Lord knows what she would have said !!!

I think I may never be the same after my nightmare day !!!
Here's how it went :-
10 p last night my boss calls and says I have to go in for the overnight drill at 3:30a this morning !! I was not happy but set my alarm and then either slept thru it or it didn't go off ( thinks it is still in the Bahamas )
3:40a my overnight staff calls and says 1 of the guys fell during the drill and has cuts on her face and the nurse is calling back . Next call she has to go to the ER soooo up I get again and take her , when I say I was falling asleep sitting there I kid you not !! I was exhausted . Finally my day staff comes to releave me at 9:30 a , but by then I have been told they are admitting her as the CT Scan showed a possible /old fracture of a cervical vertebrae Noe dear Jeanette hates going to the hospital and is NOT happy tomhear this and she wants a diet coke !! This lady is the GURU of repeating so by the time I was releaved I was not a happy camper Of course this all meant an incident report had to made out and sent to the state and it has to be investigated and I have to call EVERYONE to let them know . Well I was done with all the paperwork and calls around 12:30p and then had to do all the money for the week and balance everything , by which time it was 2nd job !! I get there to find NO ONE there and an individual who does NOT have home alone thereight then I knew it was gonna be a bad night !! The staff finally arrived and her story and the gal who does the scheduling doesn't match, but Oh well I was there when I was supposed to be !! They can figure out who gets charges of neglect!!
The rest of the evening was a nightmare !! The staff during the week took them all out to buy Mother's Day cards but NO gifts , you have you have to be kidding me So off to the store gous Rosie with 2 at a time to get gifts !!wrap them and sort out all the money there !! I also had to pack 1 of them , do laundry , which looked like it hadn't been done all week I made out the receipts for meds for the families also. The final straw was when I went to pass meds the pill minder was empty, no one had filled it I put my foot down and left a note for the next staff to do it !!Soo I am not a happy camper and my manager is gonna hear about it on Monday!!

Read this when you posted it, but didn't get a chance to comment. What a crazy day you had! And what a way to be jolted back into real life after your cruise!!! I know this is more the exception than the rule, but times like this make you so deserving of all those trips to help make up for it!!!

I hope Jeanette is able to escape soon..........for everyone's sake!!!

Yes she is home !! I think the floor staff pushed the issue !!!She looks like she has been in a World Class Bar room BrawlI have been beyond busy since getting back , it has been non stop I still have a PILE of stuff that came thru inner office mail to go thru , but I am so busy I haven't had a chance !!Today I had a staff Meeting and had to get the minutes typed up after and get the agenda done for The Aktion Club Meeting , do a money count and answer about 1 million phone calls !!I am fast fading and getting ready for bed !!

Sorry .... I've been off the grid for a few days .... Yes as far as I'm concerned the trip is still on.

DS may be getting married this fall but that will be either late Oct or early Nov so my F&W trip is up in the air but DEC IS ON!!!!!

Oh Yea just booked on SWA, depart Dec 3rd return Dec 10th, gonna spend a couple of nights at Pop , thinking about dining , I think it is possible there is free dining but have to check that outIt's happening I am booked !!!

I arrive Tuesday Dec 3rd , haven't booked Pop yet ,but that was my plan for 2 nights. I was getting the DDP for those 2 nights !! What is a BB???

BB stands for bounce back .... I booked 1 for Oct and 1 for Dec when I was there is Jan.

I checked airfares tonight .... flying in Dec 3rd isn't too bad but wow fares are really high for the 1st or 2nd!
