3 character meals- too many?

My kids love meeting chracters and I hate waiting to meet them, so we do lots of chracter meals. I figure doing an ADR for and hour, hour and half beats standing in line that long. We are scheduled for 5 on our upcoming week long trip. Last time my 19 DS even loved meeting the chracters(especially the princesses ;) )

I'll never forget the poster who was staying a week and had booked 16 character meals. To them, it was nowhere near too many.

Have you asked your group if that's what they'd like to do? You have mostly older kids, would they maybe rather be in the park riding stuff than doing 3 character meals? If multiple character meals is something you really enjoy doing with your daughter, can you plan one with the whole group and then do extras with just your family while everybody else goes and does what they want? On the other side of it, the buffet/AYCE are good for teens and tweens who like to eat.

Wow, 16! Someone loves the characters, I guess!

The only one of my kids that knows about the trip is my oldest son (soon to turn 17), and I haven't discussed details yet, only the fact we're going and dates. Once we tell them, we'll probably discuss more details, but I wanted to get reservations in place now because they'll only know about the trip about 3 weeks before we leave.

Thanks for the great advice, everyone!

Make the reservations...you can cancel some if you decide you don't want all of them.
