So, I am planning a trip to WDW 3/5-3/9, staying at AKL, going to three of the four parks (thinking MK, Epcot, DAK.) I considered myself a FP/FP+ expert but am strongly debating whether Genie+/LL is going to be worth it, or if it's at all possible to just get by waiting in standby lines.

Has anyone tried this?? Would love to read any firsthand experiences or advice from someone who has gone with this system in place already. TIA!

Much more doable at EP and AK since they have fewer rides, so even if you are waiting a long time in line, you can get most things done in one day.

MK is harder since there are so many rides and it is so crowded all the time. If you are at deluxe hotel and can do the extra evening hours at MK, that would help.

I think it most likely will be at Magic Kingdom, probably not at the other parks. Most of the attractions have good Genie+ times and I think you'll easily get your money from it.

Epcot attraction lines usually aren't too bad. The only thing I might buy here is a Frozen ILL, but I would try ropedropping it or checking the line first.

DAK is easy enough to get on everything. I suggest ropedropping the safari, then doing Everest and Dinosaur before the queues build up. Then you can either wait out the FOP line or buy an ILL.
