3/24/07 Western Magic

On the main Disney Cruise Line forum, there have been several threads about the late time at Cozumel that one time . . . apparently cruises since then have been back to having pirate night on Cozumel night again. Hopefully someone else will scan navigators from a "normal" 7 night western soon.

pclaire - just sent you a PM about the airfare situation. Just a heads-up.

thanks GrammieMame - I just sent you a message. Lets just say I'm an idiot - didn't jump on the cheap fares fast enough!! boy is this trip going to be expensive. I might just have to drink cheaper wine . .

Hi all!
The DIS List is posted on page one post 2, or my first post on this thread. I'll edit the info as I receive it, so PM away! :)

Hi everyone - hope you all had a happy and safe thanksgiving. Finally bought our tickets - ridiculously expensive, but the times were right. We get in to MCO about 4 pm on friday - now we need to decide whether to stay there friday night or go to the port and stay at the radisson.

Hi pclaire -- hope you had a good Thanksgiving as well and that your daughter is completely well by now.

Too bad about the airfare, but at least you have it now! We are getting in around 7 PM, so are staying at the Hyatt MCO -- but if we were getting in at 4 like you are, I might think about going on to the Radisson just to be closer to the port on the morning. Let us know what you decide.

We are heading down Friday, and will arrive MCO mid-afternoon. We have ressies at the Country Inn & Suites. We had planned on the Radisson, but this new hotel (owned by the same company that owns Radisson) had much better rates, and a free breakfast. :thumbsup2
Gotta save some money somewhere!

Hi everyone! its officially december which means . . we have to pay soon!! Paying for an expensive cruise right before christmas was probably not the best timing .. . .

True enough -- but the prospect of a caribbean cruise coming up soon when dealing with the cold of December makes up for the financial inconvenience!

Hi Everyone. I have been way too busy at work and have not been on the DIS very much. It really is ridiculous to have that job get in the way of Disney!

Anyway - I am at home today in the 8-9 inches of snow that we got here in the Chicagoland area and decided it was the right day to pay the crusie off. What more motivation can one ask for than 9 inches of snow!

pclaire - I missed the cheap southwest flights too(that darn job got in the way again!) - and will be paying mucho for airfare. I still have my fingers crossed that I will find something a little cheaper than what is out there right now, but I really cannot wait too much longer.

Minnie - thanks for setting up the DIS list. I will PM my info.

And to everyone else - hope you are enjoying the first day of December! Only 114 more days till we sail!! Woo Hoo!

My DS is 13.5 not 3.5 years old. He is definitely NOT 3.5, he is already taller than me :( He was not amused to see his age listed as 3.5, I on the other hand found his reaction quite amusing! Please change when you get the chance, thanks so much.

hi everyone- crazy busy here preparing for a trial next week, so I haven't been able to post much. we need to keep the thread alive!!! Anyway, my dd and I did put up our christmas tree this weekend, and put the Magic ornament front and center! we got it on our 2005 trip to Mexico, and putting it on the tree last year was kind of bittersweet, but this year its so exciting knowing we'll be back. For those of you who have a Christmas tree, I highly reccommend this souvenir. It is really a special ornament.

Yes, we have one too, and it has a place on honor on the tree . . .

My girls don't know they are going in March, and I bought the DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and covered the three main characters' faces with pictures of my daughters. I also added a title that says "Pirates in the Caribbean: Disney Magic March 24-31" and have that under the title. So now on Christmas morning they will be able to open that present (which is tagged for all three of them) and find out.

Bellelinus, i love that idea!!! My daughter doesn't know for sure when and if we're going for sure, just that if mom makes enough money this year, we'll go sometime in 2007. I bought her a pair of sea turtle earrings, and a pair of dolphin earrings (she just got her ears pierced) and was going to put them in separate boxes, in one large box with little notes like "if you like dolphins, you should go to cozumel" and "if you like turtles, you should go to grand Cayman" or something like that. Have you decide what you are doing in Cayman? i dont think I'm going to book anything thru disney, will probably book Captain Marvins.

I'm definitely going to book Captain Marvins on Grand Cayman -- we will probably end up on the same one (I forget, but there if you are doing the half way with two snorkle stops, which we are, I think it's from about 10-1 or so).

I'm thinking Captain Marvin's also. If the kids are freaked out by the stingrays, they can stay on the boat. I know they will want to do the snorkling. What day will we be in Grand Cayman?

I believe our Grand Cayman day is Tuesday, the 27th.
