3/24/07 Western Magic

Hi flrickd
Welcome aboard from the Space Coast.
We just got our ship and shore vacation guide. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Not sure what we are going to book but I am sure I will be up very early Dec. 24

March 24 will be here before we know it! Does anyone have any plans for Key West other than walking around near the port?

I just checked Orbitz today and got a $407 on Frontier from Denver. This is coming on Friday and going back on Sunday morning. The difference between going back on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning is $163 a ticket. Will plan on going back to WDW and just enjoying a resort & pool for the day. Thought you might like to know, pclaire.

In Key West we are definitely doing Pirate Soul. We are also thinking of doing a two hour sail on the Liberty.

thanks for the heads up GrammieMame. we are definitely going out on friday (luckily my daughter's school has the friday before spring break off). I hadn't thought about coming back on sunday, but might have to if its a lot cheaper.

Hi everyone. We still dont have our reservations, so not sure what time we'll get to the Raddison. Southwest still hasn't opened their bookings past March 9th, and frontier is over $500, so we'll just wait for southwest. We did go ahead and book the dolphin royal Swim in cozumel - did it directly rather than going through DCL I'm ignoring all the negative posts about the dolphin encounterd because my dd thinks its the coolest thing in the world.

What time are you booked for? We took the first booking of 12:00 p.m. There are only two of us so if you would be intersted in sharing a cab we would be open to that.

Hi everyone!
On my last cruise, we had a list with everyones DIS name, room number, people on the cruise (ex. DD14, etc. don't forget to add yourself!:)), and early or late seating!
PM me with your info and I will make a list will all of the info!

Jldunbar, we are also scheduled for 12:00, and there are only 2 of us as well! I think sharing a cab would be great. We'll have to stay in touch and see if we can coordinate. The one bad thing about that time is figuring out whether there is time to do anything else - either before or after. I dont have a good sense of how long the dolphins actually take (factoring in the purchase of pictures and videos that I KNOW I'll be suckered into), or how long it takes to get there from the pier, etc. It would be nice if we also had time to hit a beach or at least get in a little shopping. Maybe if the park is renovated by then, we'll want to stay there for a while. I guess we'll just play it by ear.

Hello all,

This is our first 7 day cruise. Also my first discussion board, I aplogize now for any mis-steps. We went on our first 3 night cruise NOV. 05, DH loved it so much he made me book a longer cruise before we got off the boat. We just got our package and now getting SO excited. Traveling with my DH, DD 10 and DS 13. That means Darling Husband, Darling Daughter age 10 and Darling Son age 13 right?

Welcome kathym!

I think different people view the "d" in DH, DD, DS, etc., as "darling," "dear," or "Disney" -- take your pick . . .

Thanks for the Welcome. Since I have only been on one Disney 3 day cruise, can someone tell me the differences between a 3 day and this 7 day cruise?

Well, to state the obvious, 4 more days will be an incredible difference! Also, two days at sea, which are entirely different from days at a port, much more relaxing. A formal night and a semi formal night . . . different menus on different nights . . .a new show ("Twice Charmed"). . . exciting ports of call. If you read recent trip reports from 7 night Western cruises, you will get a real feeling for what it is like.

Hi everyone! Checking back in as I paid in full today! :yay: We had some trouble with NW airlines changing our flights but got that worked out. Been looking at excursions-anybody thinking of Captain Marvin's for Grand cayman?

From what I see on my vouchers the swim is an hour so add anything else on to there you may want to do.

From the dolphin swim I am thinking of taking a cab to the Paradise Beach Club as it sounds like they have a great swim area for kids.

I have read in recent Navigators that they changed the Pirate night to Tuesday and that we are in port at Cozumel until midnight.

Sooooooo, the plan is, pirate night on Tuesday after Grand Cayman - sleep late - cab to the Royal Dolphin Swim at about 11:15 - then to the beach :cool1:

Decided to add on Universal to the beginning of our trip starting Wednesday, staying at the Royal Pacific Resort, so we will not be at the Radisson the Friday before we depart.

Anyone else doing Universal before the trip?

this is Minnie328 on her dad's account.... ::MinnieMo

WHAT?! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now I can't say I'm going to be a pirate on my birthday and that the fireworks are for me! lol. shucks! :rotfl: Now what is the menu going to be on Wednesday, Master Chef?

Also, physcodisney, on the 3/25/06 cruise, the Captain Marvin's thing was cancelled because of large waves. If you want to do it, book it! Just be aware that the winds may be high....

Lastly, everyone (here, I'll type it big to get your attention..lol) PLEASE PM ME WITH: THE PEOPLE YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH (KIDS AND AGES, ETC), YOUR ROOM NUMBER, AND WHAT SEATING YOU HAVE (MAIN OR LATE) SO THAT I CAN MAKE A LIST OF EVERY DIS FAMILY ON OUR CRUISE!!!! :)

Is staying at Cozumel until midnight a permanent change, or was it just on that one cruise? I thought other people who cruised after that one where things were switched around reported that the schedule had gone back to normal (pirate night on Cozumel day).

Not sure - here is the link I was going off of looking at Western Navigators http://home.mchsi.com/~stuffy2000/

If anyone has any more recent Navigators, I would love to see them - Thanks!
