We are going to POP Sep 2008 and our dd will be 28mth old. At this point, she still sleeps in her crib no problem, but who knows if we will be in a toddler bed by then. I have some concerns about our trip. I dont know if she will sleep in a pack n play...I mean those mattresses are less than an inch thick. I did see that I could rent a regular crib or even a toddler bed from a local baby rental place. Would there be enough room in POP for one of these? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

It took us a long time to get a good nighttime routine with her and I dont want to screw it up on vacation...ie I do not want her to sleep in one of the beds with me and then want to sleep in my bed when we get home KWIM. Any advise is greatly appreciated...I am starting to obsess about this.

I will also post this on the resort board. Thanks

Two different suggestions: get guard rails for the extra bed and let her sleep in there alone or bring one of those blow up toddler beds. Rooms at Pop aren't huge but you can find a place to put it. One caveat about the blow up toddler beds - we just used them for our triplets a week ago on vacation in Vermont and the boys did great in them but my DD moves all over the place when she sleeps and she would wind up on the floor, behind the TV, legs under the couch - all sorts of weird places. If your child is a mover and a shaker while sleeping, the blow up toddler bed may not be the best way to go. Our kids are 31 months.

DD was 26 months and still in a crib on our trip last January, and she slept fine in a Pack N Play for a week at WL. She is 3 years and 2 months now and still in a crib. She was 3 years and 1 month when she slept in a Pack N Play a month ago at her grandparents' house, so it can be done.

She has a noise machine that we take everywhere and that helps. Also, I think that there is a curtain in the sink/dressing area at some of the values and mods, so you could stick her PNP back there and pull the curtain until she falls asleep. Or pull chairs outside while she falls asleep in her crib.

BTW, we are going to WDW at the end of the month, and I think that I'm going to call and request a PNP for her. I thought that she would be out of her crib by now, but she's still happy in it.

If your DD isn't climbing out of her crib by then, she will probably be fine in the PNP.

Have a great trip!

It's it's just you three, I'd put her in the other bed, just request 2 bed rails from housekeeping.

The floors aren't that clean that I'd want my kid sleeping on it or too close to it.

I'm going in a few wks with my 2 1/2 yrs old so this was a good conversation for me to happen upon. My DS has been in a toddler bed for awhile now, so I knew a crib wouldn't work at all. I didn't know you could request rails for the bed.
It will just be the 3 of us so I may plan on that. We have a toddler blow up bed like someone suggested and we used it on our last vacation and he was only in it once when we woke up in the morning... plus we're flying this time so I'm trying to keep the luggage to a minimum.
