Restaurant.com is having a 70% Sale for Labor Day Weekend. If you go to their website (www.restaurant.com) and type in zip code 32830, you'll find a bunch of restaurants on Disney property offering $25 gift certificates at a great discount! You can get Shula's, Kimonos, Bluezoo, Garden Grove and Il Mulino which are all located in the Swan & Dolphin. They also have House of Blues in Downtown Disney and a lot of other restaurants on International Drive. To get the discount, just add the certificates to your cart and when you're ready to check out enter the code SAVORY. That will take 70% off your total. The gift certificates don't expire, so even if you won't be visiting for awhile you can save them and bring them when you go!

Just make sure to read the fine print... each restaurant has its own requirements for using the certificate. For instance, almost all of them have a limit of one certificate per visit and a minimum dollar amount like $35 or $50. Shula's has a minimum of two entree purchases in order to use the certificate. I've used restaurant.com a lot around my hometown and have never had a problem with spending the minimum! LOL Anyway, I hope this is useful to those of you who would like to try these places!

Thanks for the tip! Do you print the certificate or have to wait for them to mail it? We are leaving in 2 weeks and not sure the certificates would be here in time?

You print them out...no waiting! If you create an account on their website you can also log in and see what certificates have been used and which ones are still available (if you buy more than one).

You can print them right away, or print them right before you leave ~ even re-print them if you misplace them!

We used these last week when we went to WDW. I bought them when they were 80% off, so $2. But $3 is good too. We had absolutely no problems. We used them at Kimonos, Il Mulino and House of Blues. All were excellent meals.

They do automatically add 18% of the pre-discounted amount to your bill. It was no problem for us. But we usually tip at least 20%, so they lost out a little with us. But I'm sure that they find it necessary to do that. I will say, however, that I have used restaurant.com previously in other locations (not WDW) and they didn't do the auto gratuity thing. But maybe that is new? Or maybe its just the WDW area restaurants? I don't know.

Also check the fine print to make sure if you are paying by CC that you can. some say they only take cash as payment if you use the certificate.

Thank you so much for posting this! I get them locally but really haven't even thought to look for Orlando.

We have at least 2 trips planned for this next year and we will be eating very well!

Thanks!

How long are the certificates good for?

How long are the certificates good for?
They used to be good for a year except in states like California where they couldn't expire. All that has changed though. The certificates no longer have an expiration date and the site will keep track of your unused certs.

I've used them at several places in our area inc. HoB in DTD at DLR. They work great. But do read the fine print. I found that most will tack on 18% tip. Some don't allow beverages (of any kind ) to be inc. in the min. purchase.

I already have one for out trip to WDW in just a few weeks to use at HoB there. We'll probably use it for an appetizer and desserts! Love their desserts! Especially the key lime pie-so good! :)

They never expire and if you keep one long enough without using it and for some reason the restaurant closes, restaurant.com will credit you for the certificate.

If you want REALLY good pizza ( esp.the stuffed pizza) near WDW right down 535 ( exit Downtown Disney and take a left for less than a mile- on the right in a shopping center)- the Giordano's certs are a really good value. Also, if you use Ebates, they offer a 15% rebate at Restaurants.com. Of course if you're only paying $3.00 for a cert you don't get alot back.---Kathy

We used Il Mulino last weekend. It was very good but expensive. The service was also very good. The worst part is that there was a monsoon as we left and I felt like I had been in a wet tshirt contest. I was embarressed to walk into the condo lobby.

Thanks! Just printed one for our January trip.

Does anyone know if the coupons for Giordanos will work for delivery, or if they work in the restaurant only?

I think you have to eat in the restaurant in order to use the coupon but it should be in the fine print. All the certificates I've purchased have said you need to eat there to use it.
