24 Hour Party Meet Up??

Yikes, I just decided that I am going to go for it and attend the 24hr party! Yay! I am also going solo and would love to meet up with some other DISers.

I'm just trying to decide right now whether I should book the hotel just for Thu night or for Fri night too. I think I'm going to stay at the Hilton since I can get a good rate with them. If I just book the Thu night then I can get a late check out on Fri and go take a rest at the hotel from noon until 3 or 4pm. That is the only way I would make it all night, then I wouldn't need the room for Fri night since I would fly out early Sat morning. It that crazy?

Are both of you planning on staying the full 24hrs?

I'm not staying at the Hilton now. I switched to the Tropicana. Paying more, but it's right a cross the street and I have stayed there before so I know I'll feel comfortable there. I also know that I'll need to take some breaks and it will be so much easier to pop across the street and not deal with shuttles, etc. I think I got lucky that they even had a room available for Thu and Fri nights! See you at the meet up!

oh ok gotcha although we probably won't deal with the shuttle but just walk over to the parking structure and take the tram

I wish I could be there for the meet up! We're driving in from San Jose that day and probably won't get to DL until 1pm. So excited to be there! I'm only a little worried that DL will reach capacity before we can get there.

I doubt you will have capacity issues. Last year it didnt start getting crowded until 4pm and the traffic nightmare started around 6 or 7 pm if I remember correctly. I was in the parks, so I didnt notice traffic to much.

I am doing a meet up with a Facebook group I am a part of at 6pm, but would love a meet up earlier in the day. Lines werent too long for anything last year until early afternoon. I dont think if we pick an attraction we will have too long of a wait, except maybe Space Mountain. A lot of the extra crowd there earlier in the day will probably camping out on the parade route.

I'm going to make note of the other meet up times, but I'm traveling with two non-dis-ers, and we are trying to keep our schedule pretty open. If we are nearby when a meet up is happening, we will join you!

I might be in for a little while, but I was thinking about hanging out at DCA that evening since I don't plan on hopping much if any on Friday. It will depend on how much energy I have and how long the walk to my hotel. If I show up, I'll figure out a way to make it clear I'm a DIS'er so I can find others.

tell me about it, i'm also traveling with non dis-ers, and i'm stressing out thinking of how am i going to able to camp for paint the night and fireworks and not wanting to do any rides with them. i think i will just "get lost"

hahah i'm not sure about hopping also, will probably do DCA early morning and then back to disneyland around 11am and hope to get second fantasmic fast passes, do some rides, lunch, soundsational and camp for paint the night and fireworks, fantasmic and then dca again, oh god i need a massage.

I'm not sure what I'll be wearing during the day, but I will have on Duffy ears and a Jake & The Neverland Pirates backpack lol. The Duffy ears should stand out since they don't sell them anymore and no one ever wears them in the parks that I ever see

My family has talked me into Doing DCA on 5/22 during the day (to avoid crowds and also we have reservations in DL the next two days so we figured on seeing the park then), so I will not likely make it into DL until after 10pm. We will likely therefore not make the Photo Ops. I'm bummed...
