24 hour event announced!!!

Is this a separate ticketed event or can you get in using your annual pass:confused3

This is our last day at Disney. We had already planned on being in MK that day and then going over to Epcot for ADR at 7:15. Now I need to decide what time we should get to MK and I'm assuming that there will be hardly any chance of us getting back into MK after our ADRs right?

I so want to go to this! I haven't done any of the 24-hour events yet, and I'd love it if there were actual meets and greets with rare characters. However, we're already planning on the previous weekend for SWW, and we got a great bounceback offer for POFQ. I think my chances of talking my sister into two consecutive weekends are tough.

There is a Star Wars Weekend Event the 23-25 so I'm not so sure DHS will be any less crowded since SWW takes place there. You may want to consider heading to Epcot or AK.

Yep, this is our plan. We actually arrive on the 23rd and already had it planned to have dinner at Teppan Edo and then stay for the evening EMH (we are staying at BC). When I first heard about the 24 hour party, I thought how cool would it be to be in the MK at 3am, but then I thought about the masses that will have the same thought as I do. So nah, don't think we are going to brave it. Hopefully Epcot will be a ghost town that night so we can ride some of the bigger rides without a huge wait :goodvibes.

I really want to go to this too. This was our SWW day. Maybe after we can get a sitter for the kids and head back alone. It's too cool to pass up! What special things do they do?

Our plans are to be at the MK on the 24th. Do you think this will make the MK less crowded on the 24th?

Our plane doesn't land until after 7:00pm on the 23rd. I just don't see us going over to the MK that night. We will need to get to sleep so we start our first day well rested.

I would love to go and just buy the tshirt that is bound to be sold, have lunch and and walk around a while. We went to the Leap Year Day a few years ago and did the same. I decided to be an optimist and booked LTT for lunch.

No separate ticket needed. If you have an AP your are good to go..:)

Thanks, this could be a lot of fun:thumbsup2

Just curious for those who went last year, did you really go for the entire 24 hours. If not how long did you last?:crutches:

Wow! can't believe our luck! We have never done this before but chose 23rd for MK and have BOG and terrace dessert ressies. How neat!:woohoo: Anyone who has been please share your experience.

Does anyone have any idea when the ride times and such will be released? Was wondering if that Monsters U on was available in advance or only the day of?

Thanks!!

We went last May to the 24 hour party and when we got there the hats and shirts were sold out but I was able to buy the shirt on Disneystore.com after we got back. I wanna say they had it for sale all weekend. But it did take like 3 months to receive. Just FYI in case you can't make it and want the merchandise. :)

We got there around 6:00 pm and stayed until 6:00 am. We ended up parking at Epcot cause MKs lot was full (that's what they were directing people to do and then take the monorail or bus over to MK). and by the time after the event we made it over to Epcot to get our car it was around 8:00 am... Guess we were one of the few people that parked at Epcot and made it till the end - they didn't have buses running back over there and we basically had to beg a bus driver to take us. Then we drove 2 hours home... So it was a long day/night... Glad we didn't attempt 24 hours and then drive home. We were exhausted!!! But it was a blast!!!!

I can't wait! I think this is going to be a lot of fun (I was at the Leap Day one as well, and was there all 24 hours)

Does anyone know if we will be able to regain entry if we leave the park and come back? I know if the crowd is at capacity they start to send certain people away, but if you bought a ticket already and your hand is stamped are you guaranteed re-entry?

They haven't stamped hands in years.

If the park is at a stage 4 closeure, no one can get in, but I don't think that's likely to happen.

Thanks, I guess I was remembered Disneyland, we were there in January.

We were thinking about leaving from around 6-11 PM (to avoid the worst crowds) and going to Epcot, then coming back to finish out the night.

We were there last year for the 24 hour day - but skipped it because the lines getting into MK looked *scary* :sulley: - We are going again this year..but we are seriously considering braving the crowds to experience this. The characters that we can meet just look too cool :cool2: to resist.
