24 Desserts and 124 Food Pics!! A June 2011 Dining Report**Pics Back & Complete 8/17

I've been enjoying your photos and story thus far, just haven't had time to comment! I'm so sold on many more restaurants now, and not so excited about others (.... sci-fi... which I love the burger, but ewww!) I've decided to make a meal out of desserts at Sunshine Seasons and finally eat at Via Napoli as well. I love boring pizza, so I think it'll work for me. ;)

I thought your dad's spaghetti and meatballs looked wonderful. I remember the time we ate at Mama Melrose in DHS. I was freezing during the whole meal.

I love it how you take the time to comment on almost every post. :goodvibes

I think I'm going into sugar-shock just reading your reviews!! :rotfl: they're awesome !!

I can sympathize w/ you having a dad that snores....we can't escape ANYWHERE in our house where I couldn't hear my dad snore. it's a wonder the neighbors don't hear him! How wonderful that your parents get along so great !!

Can't wait to read more !!! :goodvibes

Loved the review of VN - the pizza looks yummy to me as does the spaghetti and meatballs!

I love all the desserts though my fav has to be the cherry sundae - it looks soo delish! Wow at the temp being so cold.

I just read another review of Via Napoli and it sounded great - sorry you were slightly disappointed. I remember one particular restaurant we went to in Orlando last year was so cold, I couldn't enjoy my food at all. That probably didn't help (plus you might have been full from the snacks ;))

DH and I are both looking forward to eating at Via Napoli. So sorry you were stuck with such a bad table and nearly froze to death. Nothing worse than being cold when trying to enjoy a meal.

Your pics of the meal are wonderful. I am sorta like your Dad, being Italian myself I never find what I order out to be that great. Go figure I have 3 Italian meals planned for our October trip. Via Napoli , Tutto Italia and Tony's. Have never been to any of them. I asked DH if 3 Italian meals were too much and he said no how could Italian ever be too much. :rotfl:
Yes, being cold was awful!! Three italian meals sound good! Next trip that we are hopefully doing in December we are doing Tonys. I am very excited to try it for the Pistatchio Creme Brulee!

I have to agree that I just loved your pictures! :thumbsup2

Oh and yes, I am following along from Heidelberg, Germany! I am not from here, just living here for the second time in my life!

I hope you do more reviews in the future, you have a very enjoyable style to read!
I loved Heidelberg when I went there my senior year of college. Actually, I love Germany period! We went to Munchen, Dusseldorf, Heidelberg, and Hamburg. I loved Munchen and Heidelberg the best! Thanks for the compliment and I will do a dining review hopefully in December!

Thank you! That sounds like a goo idea about the desserts for Sunshine Seasons, they are super yummy! The pizza was def. good at Via Napoli and not too expensive either.

That chocolate covered strawberry drizzled with caramel has my attention!

SOO good! One of the best snacks!!! It is a perfect snack if you are on the DP because it is higher priced.

I would never not comment on everyones post. I feel so loved here on these boards! I love doing this dining review because I get to talk to everyone! Being cold is not fun, especially when you go from like 85 degree to 65 degrees. It feels good at first but then you just get too cold!

Lol, snoring is horrible. It was sooo bad when i was younger too and we went on family vacations. I remember one time I tried to sleep in the bathroom. haha

I wish I would have tried the cherry sundae instead of mine. Either that or the orange soda sundae! Yummy!!

I think I was full from the snacks! I don't even want to know how many calories I consumed that day.

I work in Eden Prairie.

Wow thats a small world!:thumbsup2 I actually work and live in Eden Prairie. I work right off of Flying Cloud drive at a company called Acosta. It is right next to the airport.

I wound up sending them an email with a link to the picture too.... I get that it's a dimly lit restaurant and things might be hard to see, we've been there many times. But it's inexcusable (to me) to have it be like that and if I need to be a brat about it and be a squeaky wheel to get them to clean up their act, pun intended, I will.

I got a follow up email from Michael Behrens at WDW Guest Services today stating they take cleanliness & guest safety seriously and the comments have been "shared with appropriate leadership so the observations made can be taken into account and monitored."

Well, I'm going to bite the bullet and make an ADR for SciFi tomorrow for our trip and will have a very critical eye when we go. :cool2::snooty:

Ever heard of a little place called Supervalu? That is where I work.

Thanks for doing that! I'm glad you received a positive response from someone. We've enjoyed both of our experiences at the SiFI and would like to keep it on our 'must eat here' list. DS9 especially likes the cheesy movies! It would be great if you could post your observations once you're back.

LOL that is hilarious!!! Wow, SV is my customer!!!! Are you familiar with Acosta??? I work with SV all the time! Do you work at EVIC or the other office?

Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you an update. It says my bandwith has been exceeded on Photbucket which is weird because I haven't uploaded any more pictures...I am not going to pay for an unlimited membership because I don't have much money now. The photos will be back up on the 17th and after that i will finish up my review. Once again, I am so sorry!!

At least this makes me prolong my trip.

Too funny...I haven't worked with Acosta since I work with Cub and some other banners. I work at the EVIC.

I definitely agree about Via being so cold. DH and I went on our honeymoon the first week of June and it rained on us super hard that afternoon and then we go inside to a bone chilling restaurant. I am so glad I didn't catch cold because we were wet and freezing the whole lunch, haha

I'm BAAAACK! So sorry about my pictures not showing up anymore. I am so confused on how you reach your bandwidth. It feels like I have been away from my food review for a long time. I have missed you guys very much!!

On a side note....we are not going to Disney World any more this December =(
I wanted to but my boyfriend said "No" because we really can't afford it..well we CAN but we would have to put other things aside such as paying off my stupid cards from college! UGH! I am super super sad. I keep crying knowing that all of my plans are useless and I am going to have to delete all of my dinner reservations. I am still holding out that just in case we get a sweet free dining offer because there may be a slight possibility we could still go then. I know this is the right thing to do but it honestly breaks my heart. We haven't gone on a vacation together this year and we won't be able to go on any if we don't go to Disney. And we will have to tell Corey's sister we won't be joining them which makes me sad as well.

Anyways- onto the rest of my trip!! This morning I was going to get picked up from my mom and we were going to head to Universal Studios! I headed down to the food court to use my second to last CS credit. I got a sausage and cheese croissant with hashbrowns, fruit, and OJ. I thought a side came with breakfast but it didn't so I used a snack credit for the fruit.

This all was honestly pretty gross. The fruit was not that great and the croissant was really nasty! I think it was the sausage... I did like the hashbrowns though. They were standard hashbrowns but still good. It was nice having my refillable mug for breakfast because I could get coffee as well as juice.

Anyways...in the middle of my breakfast my mom calls and said she returned to Old Key West from picking up the car and my sister and her friend weren't even out of bed..They wouldn't be here to pick me up until 11am!!! I got a little mad with her because I didn't want to waste my day especially when i was paying a lot of money to go to Universal for two days!! I said I was just going to stay at Disney and go to Magic Kingdom for the day! I am glad I did. It was nice to go at my own pace around MK. I thought about doing a lunch reservation somewhere but decided not go because I still had Counter Service credits left.

That is great that you got a response! You will def. have to look for dirt when you are there!

That is really funny. I just live right off of Shady Oak Road too!

I am glad I am not the only way who though that. I seriously couldn't want to leave because it was so cold in there.

popcorn:: I'm getting a front row seat! Bring on the food pictures! :goodvibes
Im back for more reviews!! Yaya!! So happy I can finish this up. Thanks for rejoining me!!

After seriously considering eating at LTT or Tonys I decided against it and headed to Polynesian to check out their offerings! I thought about going to Kona Island Sushi Bar but they weren't open yet. Then I thought about Kona but they were closed. Then I thought about Captain Cooks but didn't see anything I liked! LOL! So I decided to head to Downtown Disney and eat at Wolfgang Puck's Express. I also needed to do some shopping there because I haven't yet spent any real time at DTD.

The bus to DTD took FOREVER!! What is up with deluxe buses?? Every time I have taken a bus to a park from a deluxe resort it takes literally forever. I never have to wait a long time at POP. Makes me not want to stay deluxe.

At WPE I ordered the Grown Up Mac & Cheese, Creme Brulee, and Diet Coke. This is an expensive meal if you are not on the dining plan. My meal came to $21.15.

The Mac & Cheese had a good flavor but it was heavy for being hot outside. I wasn't crazy about all of the crunchies on top but it was still good.

My dessert was the Creme brulee. Dessert #18. Last time I wasn't crazy about the creme brulee here but this changed my mind. It was very good today. Perfect topping, perfect consistency, and not too warm!

I came at an off time so there was only two other tables in here. I wanted to eat a late lunch because later this night is the Wishes Dessert Party-- the thing I have been anticipating most!!
