$207 Base for VGF2. Great incentives!

You think so? "Walking to parks" is a huge perk at like... Grand Cal. But I've never understood the appeal of walking into the rear entrance of Epcot. Walking under Spaceship Earth while that techno-retro-futuristic soundtrack bops is how I always want to enter Epcot.

(I say this as a huge Yacht Club fan.)
i don’t care what entrance I walk into, I just prefer to walk than drive or take Disney transit. They could have me go through the bathrooms for all I care if it meant I can walk into the parks from my room

Wow, this is lower than resale has been for quite some time.

I know everyone is all excited WOW YAY CHEAP. But now I'm worried about the value of my points. What is DVC doing? This puts years worth of buyers at multiple resorts underwater because resale is being undercut by the developer trying to fling cheap points.

DVC has many tools they can use to undercut resale and devalue points. This wasn't historically DVC's strategy. In fact, DVC's strategy was the reverse, to hold value with ROFR and price new stuff higher and higher. And so, points went higher and higher. Pricing this cheap is a reversal of strategy IMO and this is not a good sign for the long term plans by DVC, assuming you care about the value of your points.

I just don’t get this line of thinking.

They haven’t done anything to resale, and they aren’t flinging anything cheaply.

They’re just actively selling the resort.

When it goes back to being sold out, it will go back to selling for sold out prices.

Where’s the issue?

My guide is telling me they are not offering 2021 points for VGF2 … not even with a December UY.

Anyone hearing differently?

I heard the same thing from my guide, October UY. The way my guide phrased it was that we know the new wing will open late Spring / early Summer, so they'd be available in my next UY.

If true, this would mean that anyone with a late UY would not be able to use all of their points to book this summer when it opens, due to 50% borrowing restrictions. That would suck.

Yeah those points may look tempting to some, but you also have to factor in the Point Chart.

Personally I'll stick with my recent 100 BWV points at $200/pt and enjoy some of the cheapest room points on site. Yes it's a 2014 resort, but I'll be well on my way to 6 ft under by then. DW surprised me this morning by saying our previous GFV stay in 2014 was good enough for her and we didn't really need to go back as long as we could stay at BWV/BLT.

To all those buying VGF2, good for you and here's :drinking1to many happy stays at your new home.

Do you still get the full incentive For 200?
My understanding is that you're supposed to, as long as it's at the same resort, but some of the guides play dumb (or honestly might not know), so you might have to prod them a bit.

I hope all the DIS board members get all the first 500 people free luggage!!
Judging by the reaction when the photos started leaking last night, all the DIS board members hate it.

I'll take it off their hands.
Where are there pictures? I want to see!
New info for those interested. NO 2021 points…@donmcgregor called if.

All UYs start with 2022 points. No resale restrictions.

I went with a new UY because of it.
Whoa, I'm sorry for y'all about no 2021 pts but honestly that makes my decision right there. with BLT, my 2021 pts were worth about $20 pp, so over the $3200 price difference at 200 pts. So sticking with BLT for sure (which is what I needed to do anyway because that's the resort I want, the lower pp price was making me second guess!)

Well, at least I was right about one thing! LOL That's definitely a game-changer for some people.
