My paperwork says Estimated date unit is available for occupancy: June 19th, 2022I was thinking some people said 6/19 on their paperwork and then others said 6/22. But it is 6/16?

I just can’t believe it’s less than a week away from booking and we only know the “expected” date of occupancy. I thought they would have a solid opening date by now. Maybe I’m just crazy though! My paperwork says Estimated date unit is available for occupancy: June 19th, 2022
Maybe it's just not something they can legally do, since the work isn't complete yet. You may not see something concrete until it's just about to open up.I just can’t believe it’s less than a week away from booking and we only know the “expected” date of occupancy. But so what date do you think they will allow people to start booking in June on Monday?Maybe it's just not something they can legally do, since the work isn't complete yet. You may not see something concrete until it's just about to open up.
Is there anyplace that tells you how many total points are at the different dvc resorts? I’m interested in whether the VGF1 release was larger than the VGF2 release. I read that VGF1 sold out in 18 months, so wondering if it’s possible VGF2 would sell out faster than that.
Grand Floridian also has a better price per point over the life of the contract than OKW, SSR, or AKV, even at $207 per point.Well I ended up adding on 75 points today, VGF2. I don't love that 2021 points aren't included, but someone had mentioned that this was (maybe...??) the last chance to add on unrestricted direct points at this price point for a well-located resort, since these are "new" points and any other "new" DVC resort in the future may have the same Riviera restrictions. Briefly considered adding on direct for OKW, SSR or AKV instead since points are cheaper, but the home resort booking window wouldn't benefit me for those resorts so decided to just go with GF. Now to see if I can get a studio for my son's birthday weekend when reservations open on Monday.
Right. And lower maintenance fees as well.Grand Floridian also has a better price per point over the life of the contract than OKW, SSR, or AKV, even at $207 per point.

I did a small add-on to GF, for two main reasons: 1) I don't feel comfortable owning Riviera due to the resale restrictions - which also will hopefully give GF better resale value, and 2) although I only bought a small contract, I wanted the option of a couple of nights at the 11 month window for a more well-located resort than my home resort (SSR) and that's all I need. Your decision may be different since you already own at RIV.So without the 2021 points and shorter deed, I am struggling to decide between my small add-on at GFV or RIV. I spoke with my guide and I am leaning towards adding on at RIV for a few reasons. It keeps all my points at the same resort. 50 or 60 points at GFV won't go very far so the 11 month window is kind of useless. All the added rooms at GFV might make a 7 month booking possible. However, these points sold for as high as $255/point so you could assume these points will hold their value much better than my RIV points.
What is everyone else doing?
I’m in the exact same boat as you. I’m almost wondering if the vgf2 studio availability will be pretty good since there are so many of them? I’d almost certainly buy more RIV points but I’m worried about having even more points with the restrictions in the event I need to sell. The extra points at riv are very enticing. I am reading that you can request a microwave. But that doesnt make up for no minifridge!!The new resort studios look stunning. I love the Mary Poppins little details. I wasn't sure about the 2 queens, but I hadn't understood that there would be a couch as well. Really well done.
I just don't understand why haven't they added a microwave anyway. I don't mind the lack of kitchen sink, but I use the microwave a lot.
It would get you a blue card but no incentives. You would pay the base price on both 75-point contracts. Can a person buy 75 points at RIV and 75 points at VGF2 and get any incentives? This would still get blue card, correct?
I’m struggling with the same VGF2 vs RIV dilemma. The struggle is real!So without the 2021 points and shorter deed, I am struggling to decide between my small add-on at GFV or RIV. Yes, I toured the new model resort studio last weekend and was told you can request a microwave. However, not sure what all you can microwave that doesn't need refrigeration; maybe oatmeal???I am reading that you can request a microwave. But that doesnt make up for no minifridge!!
If you did 100 at Riv you'd at least get those incentives and could still do 50 at GF which would get you a blue card... but is 50 at GF enough? Can a person buy 75 points at RIV and 75 points at VGF2 and get any incentives? This would still get blue card, correct?

Maybe with banking/borrowing... you could do a couple studio nights every year or every other year.If you did 100 at Riv you'd at least get those incentives and could still do 50 at GF which would get you a blue card... but is 50 at GF enough?
