how is moonlight magic at DHS? newbie owner here with a sept 1 trip!
The first I attended was before Toy Story land opening, so there wasn't much to do attraction wise. And yet, the ToT was a walk-on all night, they even kept the pre-show room open so I was able to loop it 6 times in the first half hour!
Similar thing 2 years ago, but the pre-show was kept working. If you like ToT you'll be delighted by the event.
Of the other attractions, everything else was busier at the beginning, as you would expect, but later at night lines were almost non-existant. I closed the night with RotR and I did it 3 times in a row with no wait! For the Millennium Falcon I had a vehicle by myself.
The only exception being Slinky Dog; for some reason, Toy Story land was the busiest area and until I was there the line never dropped much (I don't know at closure).
As with all events, if you're into characters M&G there will be quite a few rare ones. I cannot remember all of them because I don't care much, but I saw the Ewoks, I think, in the ST line, which were cute. Most characters will have a substantial wait, so it's a big opportunity cost and I prefer rides. But of course rides are open all the times, while this can be the only chance to meet some rare one.
You get three snacks credits, that can be used also during the mix-in period before the park closes to the public, which is the smart thing, so you don't waste precious party time and have the full park to chose from, any snack on the
DDP is available. Later only a few places are open and lines can be long. And unlimited mickey bars and fruit bars ice creams all night. No free drinks, you have to use a snack credit.
All in all, a very fun event. Everyone is relaxed and cheerful, there is a lot of great energy all around.
