When 2020 was a no-go I did a rack rate at the Poly (resort then switched to a studio when we realized the resort won't be opened) just to hold our dates. I am going to still hold out a few more months but we might go a shorter trip and switch the location to stay at YC/BC/BW JUST to walk to two parks and not bother with transportation. Our tickets will carry over until Sept 2021, but do I need to call them to let them know the shift in dates? I assumed they would just be good to use as is, since they weren't open in May 2020. I looked up 5 days with HP (wishful thinking) and it's $3.00 MORE then what I paid for 7 days w/HP in 2019 for the 2020 trip. So there is no sense in cancelling those 7 day tickets incase we go the full 7 days and not just 5.
Anything else we should know about that we need to do now that we are in that 2020 to 2021 shift? Thanks!

Your tickets should be good. Give a try making park reservations - if that works you're fine.

Yes I have park reservations. It did allow me to do that a few months ago when I re-booked. I never thought of that connection, thank you!
