2018 Watch: All 2018 Itineraries are announced as of May 11th, 2017!

Keep in mind that if you need to change your reservation to a different room type, you will still be locked in at the prices that were in place when you originally booked. So, if you book two connecting insides on opening day, but then have to change to a room that holds 5, that room will still only cost you the opening day price. However, of course this depends on availability. And if you change to a different cruise, you lose your opening day pricing, too.

@Flossbolna - Curious . . . If she did move to a 5 person room, how would the additional person be priced? They would be subject to new pricing right? Or, since they were in the connecting room, would they still be locked in to original pricing?

Interesting question. To be honest, I have no idea. I am afraid that 5th person will be considered a new booking, so prevailing rates at that time. However, from my limited experience with this, the kids pricing is less tiered than the adults.

We currently have a three night booked but want to change that to a 7 night when October opens up. It was a placeholder, so it comes with OBB and the 10% off...can we change that on our silver day online, or is that done via the phone? And that will still come with the 10% off and OBB?

You will have to call. Online booking won't open until the day after Silver CC members can book. And I am not sure if changing reservation does not require a call now in all cases. I have never done it myself since we use a TA.

ok, so if people are thinking bookings will open next week and going by the tiered booking, does that mean that 1st time cruisers like me will be able to book on Friday 12 May???

I'm expecting next week as well. If not the following.

I think next due to the announcements that came this week.. kind of like they did that as a prequel to the dates announcement.

However looking at past cruise dates/prices, it seems to be more around 5/20-5/21. But that'd put it into the weekend and I don't think Disney does that.

What did I miss re:announcements? I haven't been following as closely as we are at WDW.

Nm, you are talking about the change in tiering and benefits?

I'm getting ready to book my very first cruise as soon as dates are released (A 4 day Very Merrytime cruise in early December is my plan)!!!

I'm so excited about dates being released and finally booking it. My poor husband doesn't understand my level of excitement since the cruise itself is still so far away, but has to constantly listen to me and my planning.

Same here. My fiancé thinks I am crazy and doesn't understand why I want to book it ASAP when its over a year away.

Curious how the membership booking works. How do you find out the cruise dates to be able to book ahead of time? Do they release the dates online before online reservations open?

We need to start a book-it-now, pre-planning, excited Disney's "venters" club for those who's family just doesn't get it, but we can't hold it in any longer.... LOL!

They announce it on Facebook, in the Disney Parks Blog and of course you can be sure that someone will post it to this thread as well.

I definitely need this club! My husband loves our Disney vacations, but doesn't like any of the planning or care about any of the details. I always see his eyes glaze over when I start talking about planning stuff.
