2018 Watch: All 2018 Itineraries are announced as of May 11th, 2017!

It was very tempting to me as 1 week of it falls during our school vacation...but my oldest will be a high school senior so missing a week of school was out of the question. Panama Canal is on my bucket list...but it will have to wait until I have both kids out of school at this point, in 5 years...assuming they're still doing them then. :scared1:
I was thinking that the earlier date would prevent a lot of people with school-age kids from cruising - until I realized it was spring break for a lot of school districts.

Thank you everyone for letting me know Panama sells out quickly. When will Spring 2019 be out? Maybe we will have some luck then. :)

I will be on board on MAY 7TH-11TH I was so hoping to book fall 2018 looks like that is not going to happen.

You can book a placeholder while onboard and then make your Reservations within 2 years, with all the benefits of booking onboard.

We Did that in Jan and are now waiting for the Dec 2018 Rates to drop

I think the new Castaway Club benefits (http://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories...tments-to-benefits-for-castaway-club-members/) can tell us something about when the next batch of cruises will be released.

The booking schedule has changed and will go as follows

Day 1: Platinum Booking
Day 2: Gold Booking
Day 3: Silver Booking
Day 4: General public can book, cruises will be available over the internet

My guess would be that they will now release new itinerary information on Mondays and then start with booking for Platinums on Tuesday. Any other schedule would push booking for some into the weekend and Disney never seems to start any booking during a weekend. The other possibility would be for itineraries being announced on a Friday and booking starting on Monday for Platinum. But I think that this will be the less likely schedule.

I'm going to be booking my second Disney Cruise when the new itineraries comes out later this. Assuming that the new benefits come out first, now silver members get slightly earlier access, how do you get the early access. Do you book directly through the website or do you have to give your castaway club numbers to a travel agent?

Thanks!

You can book direct or with travel agent - just be prepared for long wait times

You can only book via phone for the early booking, not online. Either call yourself or through a travel agent. But you will need your Castaway Club number for booking.

I'm wondering if the change to when people can book is more of a benefit to DCL than return cruises. It should spread out the phone calls more so hopefully the wait times won't be as long.
