2018 trip: June or August?

We always go in June and really enjoy it. The earlier in the month the better. It's a great way to start the summer. Then you have the rest the summer to do whatever you want before school starts again.

Have been going in August since 2005. There is a noticeable drop off in crowds the later you go but you can negate their impacts according to your touring style. We absolutely love the daily thunderstorms and, touch wood, we've yet to be impacted upon by a hurricane.
