2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

I may have to move our trip up a week! I saw Starship changed their concert dates to Sept 8-10!!! They are our fav and missed them last year.

Besides the booths, there are Food and Wine events to consider, some occur a couple of times each week, while others are one and done. Information on these events will hopefully get released soon (probably in July).

However, if you do decide to keep the ADR, you might want to consider making it a "Eat to the Beat" ADR, which will give you a confirmed seat to one of the "Eat to the Beat" concerts with your ADR meal.
We already have an ADR at Biergarten, can we change that to an "Eat to the Beat" ADR by just adding it?

This has probably been answered ad nauseum so apologies in advance, but the size of the 2016 F&W thread is daunting so here goes.

I have been to WDW many times with my daughter but never to F&W. This year my wife and I are going for our 25th anniversary. DW is a culinary student and a bit of a gourmand so she is very excited, I on the other hand am clueless. So to the questions:

Are the demonstrations and events fairly consistent from year to year? I assume I can use the previous years events as a guide to what will be available?

Also as stated I am clueless about this stuff, not a good feeling for someone that considers themselves a Disney veteran and is usually the family Disney "go to guy". So if I was looking for something special to surprise my wife with what would be some suggestions for my best bets.

Thank you!

If you're referring to the daily beverage seminars and culinary demonstrations, they change every year. Some of the celebrity chefs may return each year but their presentations would be different.

The special events (Party for the Senses, Parisian Breakfast, Italian Food and Wine Pairing, French Food and Wine Pairing, etc) are typically offered each year. Some events may change and new ones may be offered.

Hopefully we'll have some detailed info from Disney soon!

I'm really hoping we start getting some more details in the next week or two. I'm unable to plan anything until my FP time arrives, and it's messing with my list-making/planning fixation.

Don't expect it. The TiW dinner isn't until mid-July. You will not get the full released schedule until then as that is part of what those going to the TiW event are paying for.

My wife and I and another couple are going to try to reserve a table for four in the Reserved Section at the PftS. Is it possible for each couple to pay their own way or will the cost have to be put on one charge card? Thanks!

Gary

Being from TX we are so acclimated to heat and humidity that when it gets to 7O we are looking for sweatshirts !:rolleyes1 This may sound a little strange but a couple months before our scheduled wdw visit we start more long walks being outside morning and afternoons to help us mimic our days at f&w. Hope that helps.

It's funny you said that, it is something my BFF and I are going to try before our trip in October. Summers in Maine do get warm so I should get acclimated a bit more to the heat. I just got back from WDW over Memorial Day and the last day was 100 degrees! I was very sick and I am sure the heat played a big part, and the fact that I went directly from the cold up here to the oppressive heat!

When we booked we had to complete the reservation on one credit card.

It will work better for 1 person to make and pay for the reservation. You have to pay in full.

All you can do is ask...we split payment for a vacation package a few years ago but it might be different for special events.

Good luck :flower1:

If you want to insure that everyone is at the same table, as Dis_Yoda mentioned, it would be better to have all four people on the same reservation. Don't know if you've made reservations for the Food & Wine Festival in the past, but there is usually a long wait on the phone to make reservations so it would be better for one person in your party to make the reservation and pay for the event with one credit card.

Last year for the champagne brunch we had a group of 5 friends. One person called and made the reservation and we sent money via PayPal to the person who made the reservation as we don't live in the same state. Worked out just fine and ensured we were all seated together.

Will be in Epcot in September, wondering if this will take to days to try the best food or if it's manageable in one. No kiddos. Just me and the wife.

If you pushed it and shared you might could get it in one but that would really be pushing it and almost impossible if you wanted to try something from every booth. I've found I have to "rest" after about 3 booths so it take me 3 or 4 days to get them all in.

By the way, I'll be there Sept. 18-22 myself and plan on spending part of each day at Epcot.

We will miss you by one day as our flight lands Saturday evening, the 23rd.

Last year. we had 2 days for the Food and Wine in September and still missed booths because we had to leave mid afternoon both days because of the oppressive heat. Hopefully, this September will be a little bit cooler.

I go to F&W solo and can only manage about 4-5 booths before I cannot eat any more. And that's only one item from each booth. I always get a hopper pass and hop over to Epcot multiple evenings so I can try all the items I'm interested in. So yes, it can take days if you're interested in many different items.
